That's three games this year the midfield have failed to do any damage against noff they went to sleep after half time Collingwood they did even play at all and today gee. The team is not going anywhere with this midfield it's time to make the calls ross needs to go. play the two kids. Gresham is a liability around the ground needs to go forward and stay there to work on that craft that part of his game has fallen away. Don't think Marsh is afl quality. These are the times when we will see if ratts is the coach for us it's time to make some big call as he said every one's position is up for grabs

Our midfield is weaker than it ever was. The players are not that good, and we have no-one on the bench.
When we win, we've been playing clean fast possession football.
Today we were fumbling every step of the way.
When we have mids on the bench there is always a chance, that any of them can play a really good game, even the likes of Sinclair.
As it is we need all our mids to fire every game.

How do they get 4 week?

It should be graded as Careless (which is the precedent for bumps), High impact and High contact. That's 2 weeks.

At worse, if they go intentional then it would be 3 weeks but bumps have always been graded as careless since you cant say he intentionally went out of his way to get him in the head. You also cant grade it was severe impact since Darcy wasnt knock unconscious.
Pretty sure he was concussed with possible jaw break....having said that nothing to see here play on

Darcy going to his knee's before he's hit could help him.

Yes hope so. Of course, they didn’t mention that little fact. He wouldn’t have bumped his head then.
Thought Long’s eyes were on the ball too.
Got to be careless, not intentional, which is what would go for four weeks.

Yep, Longs eyes stay on the ball.
If nothing else, thats evidence to use to the tribunal to get the charge downgraded if needed.

I honestly don't know if i have been more ******* angry after a game like i am today.
I wish that even a 3rd of the 22 today feel the way i do about this club. Love its guts but fear that the players don't have the same love for the jumper.
They don't.

Got home from soccer, we won 1-0. FoxtelNow doesn’t have the game On Demand yet so I say fu** it and look at the result... what in the absolute donkey bollocks Saints.

I ******* KNEW this would happen, it happens every time! It’s a joke at this point, they don’t want us to have sustained success. The squad don’t care.

Reading all the comments it seems the outs should be Hill and Ross. Bring in Bytel and Byrnes for them, at least we know they’d try.

Don’t watch it.

it’s way worse than the score line suggests.

I would love for the club to print out every single twitter comment and post it on a wall for the boys to see. About time they actually see the impact that this club has on its supporters.
f***ers need to hurt like us.
They wouldn't read it and even if they did. It's just the fans. We are idiots. They're better and above us.

They'd just block out what they call "noise".

Once again, CHEATED by WA umpires .(4,6 )
the two went along way in getting Freo back in the game
22 /15
It reminds me of two games against WCE in perth
a few yrs ago 3/23 6 / 25
Thats not why we lost.

Well I'm going to have a nap. Just had a laugh to myself thinking about how we let that slip. Comical stuff sometimes it really is.

At least Liverpool are on at 12am, a team that doesn't let me down.
I spent the day in the sun. Nice sunny winters day. You know the type where you sit in the sun and warm up. It helped.

Hill 8 touches last week vs Carlton, 11 this week vs Freo. Nowhere near good enough. He runs and runs, a bit of a headless chook, running after every bloke like a dog after a ball. But most of the time he just needs to do the team thing and cover a man or space, not KEEP ON RUNNING TO THE BALL EVERY TIME!

Just out of interest and please don’t howl me down but does anyone think ratten may not be a good game day coach but very good before the game. 2 games have been lost that should never happen. Probably a little unfair. Players also need to take the blame.
Strategy wise he got absolutely smashed today. But that's not the root cause of the issue.

There are bigger issues. Goes beyond just today's performance. Goes beyond the make up of the list or any on field leadership.

I'll go into detail on my thoughts later but its a bit like building a house and completely ****ing the site works and foundation. Then neglecting to put in proper drainage. Handful of big winters and you're wondering why there are massive cracks showing up everywhere and your house has sunk.

The owner can bail and sell it. But the problems are still there. New owner comes in and its not a cheap or easy fix.

Way i look at it is we either have to be a good club or have a good side. We almost won 2 flags with a good side. Now we don't have a good side everything shows up warts and all.

We are a poor (not referring to finances here) club with a sub par side.

We may have made some gains in regards to both but theyre not considerable. In regards to the house analogy. We didn't fix the root cause of the issue. We put up some nice paintings and put in some nice furniture. Maybe a slap of paint.

But the massive **** off cracks in the wall and foundations are still there and as each year goes by they get bigger and bigger.

The Butler moment in the last is another one that will stick in the mind. It's all well and good to be unselfish, but not for the sake of it. He needed to nail that goal, rather than a pointless chip in the air to a contest.

That moment amongst many, our decision making at times was deplorable, couldn't believe what I was seeing. it was like we were trying to lose the game.

If we were the Karachi Saints we would be investigated for match fixing it was that bad, our turnaround in form from the first quarter was literally unbelievable.

I'm still struggling to make sense of how we lost a game from 6 goals up at quarter time where we were dominating to then just turn into a complete rabble.

It wasn't just our bad decision making and turnovers it was the fact that so many Freo players were left free to get easy uncontested possessions.

Something about that game just doesn't add up to me, I smell a rat and I think you all know who I mean.

I don't want to point the finger at Ratts but he was part of that Carlton team in 1995 where there were rumours of them throwing games against both us and the Swans to help fund their end of season trip.

Some hard questions need to be asked here.
