It wasnt the kids fault we lost but gees King has a long way to go (body wise) before he clunks the marks he is getting to. Any body or arm contact what so ever and he spills the ball. He was frustrating to watch today!
I found it frustrating when freo actually started roving off kings dropped marks.

Yep we have known this for at 3 years now, actually believe we need to bite the bullet at bring actual mids.

Looking good for one quarter means jack s..t when we can then look like crap for the next 3.

I crave for consistency.

We are consistent at shooting ourselves in the foot every time we gain a fraction of momentum. I think the big problem with the team is that it has been mediocre for so long that it has become acceptable. It leads to complacency from the top down. It can be coached out, and will change a bit with a restructure of leadership, but it'll take time.

What has that got to with anything I said to you. I can see stupid opinions without coming up with something. Trumps opines are madness. I don’t have answers to his madness.
I think its a very convenient out. It places you in position where you can criticise literally anyone you want without fear of ever having the same come back. Because you never have an opinion on it.

I'll take the "stupid opinions" from people on here over someone who's not prepared to offer up their own or at best deliberately vague when asked of their own.

Do you see this loss as a once off? How about finals do you see us making them in the next 3 seasons? What about a flag on the current path we are on?

Is it too late to bring back Alves?

That 1996 Ansett Cup was the last meaningful bit of silverware we've won.

Not to mention Stan got us into the 1997 GF against the odds and we would've won a flag if Spida Everitt, who was the MVP at the time, didn't get injured.

Still can't believe we sacked Stan and Grant Thomas after they took us to finals, Richo lasted longer than them and we never played finals under him.

Dean Kent should never be selected in our best 22 again, and Jack Lonie needs a spell.
Lonie is simply not dangerous enough at the moment, 3 out of the last 4 games he’s played he’s been held goalless which is poor for a guy who plays the entire game in the forward half. If he’s not hitting the scoreboard, he’s hard to carry.

What I do find interesting under lethlean and the banker is what happened with the likes of Hickey, Bruce and Acres.

They're obviously prepared to move on the pieces they see as inconsistent.

We've also seen some of the older types lose their position in Webster and Savage.

We've also been pretty damn blunt about the need to improve club culture and how bringing in someone like Hanners was an attempt at trying to address it. With also been trying to bring in as many people as possible from successful club environments. Roughy to Slater to the Wallaby I forget.

It makes me wonder if they will hit the same point with some of the more mature players like say a Dunstan and Ross. I.e. will they hit a point and make a hard call on if they will be part of the group that takes this club forward.

Problem I see is they will need to find replacements before they can just move them on. Finding inside mids. Especially match winning ones is very hard to do. Clubs hang onto them. Outside types or injury prone types are easy to get. The real difficulty is finding someone to drive the engine of your team.

I have many opinions. And have been abused and sometimes been given positive thoughts about them. You would knock us if we won 18 games in a row. My opinion is quite simple. You knock things that are in the past. There is no point. Fact says we are going better than a lot of sides. What happens in the past has zero to do with the future so I don’t understand linking them to be negative

Its interesting you shared a picture of Hayes.

All the talk out of the club about the Hub is that it could be a wonderful opportunity for the players to learn from other player behaviours.

Imagine having hayes and roo in their prime now for players like King and Clark to learn from. To be inside their hip pocket seeing everything they do.

I reckon there's a fair few freo players who have taken a lot of it from players like fyfe and walters.

Who do we have?

Yeah not true. If we won 18 games in a row I'd be stoked.

These things are not in the past. Many of the pieces of the puzzle have been there for years and years.

Think you are clearly overrating their influence out of the footy club it’s up to the individual to have it. You do or you don’t.

That's a fair assumption. Lonie and Marsh were good when we were good and maybe they were holding position but it could be reasonable to swing the axe and bring in Parker and Hind or some other combo that might get the job done better.

Both Parker and Hind are worth trying. Both have a bit of x factor about them. Parker can play tall/small and replace Marsh, Hind can give Lonie a rest.
