Could not agree more. Just because he has re-signed does not mean that we cannot trade him at the end of the year. A line has gone through his name as future captain. And GreatGrundy, Howe has been shocking as well. It is embarrassing to watch him try to go 1 on 1.
It is obviously going to take some fans a while to understand the new defensive structure we are using and how it is the basis of our 100+ points scored offensively

Won't be good weather for tall marking forwards on Saturday.
You never really know what Melbourne's weather is going to do. I thought today was going to be horrible, but it wasn't.

How many years are we going to be saying he needs to get more disposals before he actually gets them!!!

Tyler did it in the VFL before he was elevated. It took 4 years. I think he should have stayed there to do it consistently before coming into the seniors.

Poulter last year:
15 disposals
5 marks
2 tackles

WHE is only elite / average on disposals. The basis stats. The meters gained & i50, he is below average.

WHE - 199 meters gained this year.
Poulter - 280 meters gained last year.
Your goalpost shifting is reaching brave new heights

Lynch Moore
Balta Howe
Riewoldt Maynard - Bruzzy did well on him last time
Dusty Quaynor

The issue would be if they wanted to throw Soldo forward as well. But I don't think that suits their game style.
Soldo plays 25-30% game time out of the goal square with Jack & Tom dragging the defenders out

Quaynor on Dusty could end badly as dusty will drag him deep

But is that when 3 other talks are up forward as well?
Im thinking you mean 3 other talls ?

Usually we only have 3 talls but have had an extra for 1-2 minutes during cross over or mismatch
Balta is usually the player that goes out of the 50 when soldo is deep and jack/Lynch tend to also play higher or wide leaving Soldo & Smalls

usually trying to get the shorter defender to stay with Soldo deep or get Lynch free

WHE has more time with the ball and uses it better in the AFL than Poulter in the VFL, where he's regularly rushed.

Admittedly I called for WHE out this week for the first Tim, as I think is ball use has dropped off a bit. But that's because I'd like to see Reef.

First touch was the lovely spot up to JDG to kick our first goal last week...

Could get interesting. Lynch might get some easy ones with Moore zoning back to help Noble versus Soldo in the goal square...

So you think we are in the premiership window in the next 3 years?

If yes, play WHE.

If not, why play WHE?
Every week the club picks the best side to win the game. Do that consistently, and premierships take care of themselves.

Which week is he going to get exposed to glandular fever and thus which week should we rest him?

As I said earlier, I don't really understand the resting of kids, when they physically recover quicker.

There must be a reason as it's talked about a lot, but I'm pretty sure it's not due to glandular fever.

Is it to do with mental fatigue - although do kids recover slower regarding that?
As far as I've heard it's a mixture - mental fatigue and body metabolism still settling from their last growth spurt - some still going through growth spurts.

Adolescence and teens play hell with our bodies, minds and emotions.

I’ve fairly well understood the ins and outs so far this year with Macrae.

Bianco I don’t feel we can carry, and I don’t understand how Cox doesn’t play.
Form must be rewarded in the young hence Bianco must be given a shot.

How many chances do you want for Cox? Sure he got plenty of it but the opposition was far less than impressive. That was the minimum standard you would expect against such - for want of a better word - opposition.

I find it difficult to understand the vitriol towards WHE tbh. He averages 15 disposals playing on a forward flank, which is actually above average by position. No, he’s not kicking the goals he used to when he was being played out of the goal square in 2018, but he’s playing a role statistically to about the average level of his place on the field. I’d like to see him kick more goals, but I don’t think he’s been particularly bad this year, he just hasn’t been a standout at all.

I don't dislike Hoskin but he was a momentum killer on at least 5-6 occasions on Anzac Day.

15 touches requires maximum impact and we simply aren't getting that from him these days.

Was clearly 2nd BOG on Anzac Day. Terrible call.

Only his disposals & marks are above average. Every other metric of his game is either average or below.

The aim is to be contending for a premiership in 3-4 years, he won’t be there in 2025.

He’s barely mediocre. He doesn’t bring anything to the team that a Poulter or Reef couldn’t bring on a weekly basis.
