So Melbourne has been given a please explain over their runner, Reece Conca, positioning himself in play and distracting the opposition by calling for the ball.

I don't know if the rules have been relaxed this year but I have noticed an increase in these guys spending time in the ground, often close to play. Was going to post about it earlier but here we are.

Getting rid of runners during play was one of the best things the AFL did for this game.

So please **** them off again. Coaches and runners clearly cannot be trusted to self regulate, so just get rid of them.

Agree

Less coaching interference the better

Ross Lyon winged about it recently, and basically said that the reason his team sucked in close losses is because he couldn't tell them what to do.

Thats exactly how I believe it should be.

It should be up to the players to work it out.

Local footy runner and assistant coach. It's not always tactical.
You try try to get a message out and get stuck because you'll end up running through play if you try to get around it
Then you're trying to get 4 different changes out, and before you know it you've spent 3 minutes out there
