absolutely no point taking Gamble

like above we need to develop our own players and learn from what happened to Brisbane with their trading and learn from Collingwood dropping experienced mature players to play the young players consistently

that is what we need to do

Sherman is the only player we should try if any

Learn from Collingwood who after losing a prelim traded for Ball and Jolly to bolster their team?

We need to go after the type of players we need, not just anyone who's not a bad player but wanting a new home.

Gamble is a mid size forward and a pinch hit CHF. I reckon we have a few like him and we have some really good prospects in Grant and Jones. Everitt and Hill fit the category also. So yeah if he was going cheap you'd have a look at him but I bet he won't be.

Our needs seem pretty clear. Quick outside mids/forwards and Tall defenders. Just need to be smart. Faulks would be a great pick up if he's still available when we have a live pick.

There is also Pedderson at Box Hill who's a good young defender.

But I also like the look of Isaac Smith from Nth Ballarat, young lanky quick midfielder. Also at Nth Ballarat is Derrick Micallef who's a quick forward who looks ready to go and just what we need.

So if we do our home work, we should be able to compliment the list next year not just with Wallis and Liber, but also so mature age talent from the lower leagues. Cost less and fill our needs. I prefer to not go after other teams rejects unless it's a no brainer and fits a need.
