I've never seen any adaptations of the Discworld novels. I kind of feel like they'd never be able to come close to the real thing.

Sky TV (UK) did a 3 movie trilogy of Hogfather, The Colour of Magic, and Going Postal which were pretty good for telemovies.

Then in January BBC America released The Watch, which is an adaptation of the Vimes-centric books. The Ankh-Morpork in the series is far more modern, and there's several gender-swapped characters. As a fan of the books the TV series is utter garbage, but if you were a discworld virgin you might like it.
