1. How did you get recruited to the Sweet FA/ the Dragons?


Drago: Well, I was quietly minding my own business on the Freo board, with the occasional foray into the bay or the draft threads, when I got a message from one serial_thrilla

He informed me that there was another place in this dark and twisted world, where I could be everything I wanted to be in my dreams.

And then I was told there was this Qooty thing, but I had already agreed to join, and hate letting people down. (I do it enough normally, so I try not to also do it on purpose).

The fact that the team was the Dragons, and I associate with a dragon (including one permanently emblazoned into my flesh), made it seem that fate had aligned to give me something more than just trolling Dan into revealing himself as a Russian spambot.


2. Are you enjoying the banter of match threads so far?


Drago: There's banter?

I mostly just sh*tpost gifs and videos, and egg Bonz on to creep out the other team.
There's a few clowns who seem to think that being a d*ck / obnoxious is a personality trait, which is fun for a few posts before they get tiresome.

And when things start to look like getting too serious, I'll spam the thread with crap memes and the like. I'm here to escape the world, and work, and life.

Was this all your idea or did you get some help with it?


Drago: No, just started on a whim.
Had a major eye-roll over one poster in a match thread, and wanted somewhere more public to vent outside of the team PM. The Ghost Shark article was from the same week, and seemed to fit perfectly with how I felt. So a nice little bit of serendipity (great film btw) there.

So, completely self-serving.

I have a few other pieces in the works, and have dropped a concept to the Rookie class to see if anyone picks it up, but so far, no dice.

Which is a shame, as I am somewhat of a dice goblin.

But I digress, yes, I've seen the posts around Serial's history with EKA winners, however I have not received any assistance in this one. I'm capable of independent thought. Allegedly

4. Are there any other Rookies that have caught your attention so far?

1. Ligma has had some decent exchanges, just not in our match thread unfortunately, hopefully the return bout is a little better
2. Braklet is one to keep an eye on. The night watchman at the dragons is ticking a lot of boxes.
3. CatToTheFuture hit some form after I was subbed off him, so will remember that for a while, what could have been in that match.
4. Dominic03 has been making waves, although I'm not sure if it's necessarily for the right reasons.
5. weltschmerz and tigs2010 have form from other parts of the site, so looking forward to meeting them soon.

and RIP Bulldogs85 was looking good until he was murdered...

Anyway, I hope one of the rookie class rises to the challenge. I'll be happy being runner up. Truly. Please.
