Its literally the worst possible time to make a decision on him.

It means we aren't going to have any chance to see how Carr does during the season, but we also won't have learned anything about how he goes in big games, which has been where he has consistently let the club down.

It sounds like if we're sitting top 4 in August they extend him, only for the club to again fail to show up in finals. I think that would be my absolute last straw - I'll be a Port AFLW fan only until he goes if they pull the trigger on him without a flag.

I just don't think they look at the body of evidence with Ken, they'll judge it on the season at hand.

If we have a few injuries and middle out with a tough draw I don't think our board will necessarily be harsh. They will roll out how we have to be pragmatic about how the season panned out, the difficulties, the group is still unbelievably connected, Ken deserves credit for blooding player x etc. as we all creep closer to storming the beaches.

I have found many other things to enjoy besides football and to be honest, I have much more to time to enjoy family things now. I will keep an eye on the team but no where near what I used to.

Who knows, when Hinkley and Koch are gone i might have a renewed enthusiasm for the club.
