Ah, **** it, you know what, I don't mind.

I got to sit and watch the team I live and breathe for, and the game I love, with my father - who's telling cancer to go **** itself every day - my brother and my son.

Four blokes, three generations, one deep and abiding love.

Perspective; it's a wonderful thing.

:) it really is. Best wishes to your dad

I think Dunstan has virtual immunity from being dropped.
He seemed to be doing a job on dangerfield at one stage, but dangerfield gradually became more and more effective as the hand wore on.
Don't think he's worth much in terms of trade bait either.

Trade bait? Gezus, jump the gun lol

People knocking Gresh need to remember how young he is and what he did for us last year vs. the Cats. He can't be expected to do that every game.

Maybe look to our older blokes who didn't have team lifting games (Gilbert, Mav, Bruce all should be addressed before a young kid).

Gilbert laid some :handok:Tackles

Where do you come up with this stuff?

The game plan is fine
The gameplan is very good. We just can´t sustain it for 4 quarters. It almost felt like they held Dangerfield back till
we had used all our petrol tickets and he could then break the game open with hard running.
We just don´t have the fitness to go with the good teams. Getting blown away in the last 15 mins by the better teams.
Infact has anyone noticed how many junk time goals we give away at the end of quarters ?
Seems like we go full throttle for 20 mins and then in the last mins we´re stuffed.

I think that's mkre our fitness levels than the gameplan itself. It didn't seem to be anymore frenetic than Geelong's today yet they didn't tire at all. The fitness staff need to be looked at IMO.

We were running out games fine last year, or at least better than we are now. They've changed something over the preseason and it's costing us.

Not blaming Dunstan at all, Geelong were simply too good, and I'm not saying I would trade him either. He still has time to improve.
Just said I don't think he would garner much value in the trade table.

No need to get upset.

I see what you did there. :thumbsu:

Think it's fair to say our game plan is unsustainable. We just run out of gas so often.

Really question whether Richo has the chops from a tactical POV, although this is something I've wondered for a fair while. We seem desperately lacking in a plan B of any kind.

If we don't pick up one of Dusty/Fyfe/Rocky/Hopper or even M Kennedy in the coming offseason we are kidding around. If we miss out on the first 3, throw the chequebook at Hopper.

The game plan isn't the issue. The players running out of gas is. If anything the issue is that we chose to play players like Dunstan, Long, and others who don't have the tank to play a full game.

Don't know how we fix it mid season but playing Stevens in the VFL is clearly not an option. Same goes with Savage if we can find a spot for him.

It just cant work because neither have the ability to play elsewhere. Now Bruce isn't a ruckman but did we actually go worse when he was rucking? I'm not so sure.
It's just that I prefer Bruce forward so we can have another target. And yeah I'm not sure we did better either in fact I can remember Bruce not going up in the ruck and actually winning his own clearance. But against a better ruck opponent that's not going to happen often enough for us to win games. Need to win the hitout to the advantage of Steven and co. and we are one of the few clubs with the ruck stock to have the ability to do that.

Was it just me or did it look like Rossy had an extra yard of pace today?

good call. its clicked for him now. he's at the point where he's felt like he belongs out there for a while now. now he understands he's one of the sides best so the confidence has now hit a point where he knows he can take the game on

he's going awesome!!!

Both sides looked cooked in the last. It's a cop out to blame the 'game plan'. Some poor decisions and skill errors cost us real bad in the last quarter. Would like to know the stats on goals for cats from our turnovers..

Bigger bodies needed next week .
Hopefully Stevens , Wright , Sinclair are all ready to go.
Love Gresh but give him a spell .
Longy going to be a ripper but needs form in the McGoo's.
Dunstan can go find form too.

But you did, you pointed out Dunstan and put trade table up there. Why would you do that if you felt he wasn't the main reason, just say Geelong were too good. oh and by the way I'm not upset at all considering the loss I just feel the need to call posts that point the finger at the easy targets just to get a like in the popularity stakes.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

The game plan is fine
Where do I come up with stuff, who the **** are you?

The game plan is fine until we completely run out of gas and are sitting ducks.

Round 1 against Melbourne we pressure them off the charts for a quarter but that pressure gradually takes a big dive and they blow us away.

Round 2 against West Coast we're all over them early but they finish all over the top of us by the end and dominate the last quarter.

Today we get blown away in the last 15 minutes of the game to almost lose by 40 points after being about level half way through the last.

Even against Brisbane we dropped right off for about a quarter and they got a big run-on.

If that's not eveidence that our game plan is unsustainable I'm not sure what is.

Billy was good tonight, until he got absolutely crushed in a marking contest and needed his head and ribs checked. He struggled to move a bit after that contest. No way he gets dropped unless he is injured because it was great actually winning the taps and giving our mids more of a chance

Was anyone on Selwood?

If so, they got destroyed. If not, why the hell?
He killed us 24 possies in the second half shocking coaching again. Just run through the campaigner who cares if you get few weeks. Longer had a chance in the third to kill him but he didnt.
