Not fussed that Scarlett doesn't recognise Maxwell's ability to stand up in big games, as evidenced by him winning our best finals player in 2009 and 2010. I can certainly understand how Maxwell gets under people's skin and everyone's entitled to their opinion.

Though I did laugh at this line when he was giving a blow by blow account of the Harvey incident, "That's how I played football. What happens on the field, stays on the field."

So he held a grudge against Maxwell for a year for something that Maxwell said to him, and then "ran almost 100 metres to get in his face and give him a spray", yet Scarlett expected Harvey to be OK with what he said to him and was perplexed when Harvey couldn't just forget about it and move on.

As interesting as it was watching Scarlett and Geelong beat your team in the '07 prelim, '09 prelim, and 2011 grand final.

3 finals wins, which included a GF, kind of eclipses one prelim win. I'm sorry.

Don't really see why anyone would have a problem with Scarlett's claims. He's just validating what most people, sans Collingwood supporters, have been saying for years.

Maxwell is an obvious flog anyway. Running his mouth, trying to pick fights with the smallest man on the field, whilst constantly exhibiting all the footballing talent of a potato. Where was he during the 2011 GF, anyway? Certainly wasn't having any kind of impact. Didn't see him trying to stop Hawkins destroy Reid when the game was on the line.

TBH, I'm not sure anyone would want to be compared to Harley.
Scarlett comes across as a comlete dickhead really. No one really rates Maxwells playing ability, but he plays his role well enough and is an exceptional leader who has captained a flag, that's what people respect and rate.
