A lot if humble pie to be eaten about Mernda, they are the real deal, will be top 2

Great game on the weekend. Thought Mernda should/could of won it. Had control in the third & could have been 5-6 goals up with the amount of inside 50s we had. Agree Dingo did well , but thought he had another 6-7 opportunities in the 3rd to finish off some great fwd thrusts. Even in the last we probably missed 4-5 goal opportunities. In the end Whittlesea made the most of their chances & got the victory. Some horrible umpiring BOTH ways on the day.
Hard to say where we will finish. Believe out of the better sides we match up the best against Whittlesea & dare say we'll get them next time. But not so sure about Nth , stars & Diamo who I rate a little higher than Whittlesea. Gona have to win a few big games to grab a finals spot.

A lot of frees given to Harro didnt help. Dingo was good but patchy in his game. The game certainly was winnable, Jesse O played a cracker of a game. Millsys marking let him down, but should be a good season for mernda.

Lalor vs Whittlesea Even with some injuries the red-hot premiership favourites should win
Mernda vs South Morang The Demons should continue to inflict more pain on the struggling Lions
North Heidelberg vs Fitzroy Stars A real toss-up but don't think the Stars can contain the Doggies Harvey

Diamond Creek Vs Hurstbridge - Thought Hurstbridge had progressed a bit but last week showed they still have a fair way to go.
Lalor Vs Whittlesea - Whittlesea too strong here. Lifted when they needed to last week.
Mernda Vs South Morang - need to be 100% focused tomorrow, we played well last week but can't take that 'we played well last week' arrogant mentality into this one. Should be too good if we stick to our structures.
North Heidelberg Vs Fitzroy Stars - As Chet said, will be hard to contain Shane Harvey.

Watched the Mernda v Sth Morang game and was so impressed by Mernda, and they told me that they had 6 out from the top side due to outside commitments, wow....will Mernda be the first side to come from D3 to win a spot in D1 on what I saw and what is till to come in,,,most definately.

And to Morang supporters a long season ahead, but was impressed by the youngster wearing No.15 and No.5 was sensational for you he showed what it takes to get the hard ball

Unfortunately for Aqua he didn't give himself the chance to play ones early this season. Missed a lot of pre-season , came back over weight & unfit. Played in the 2s last week & as an onballer , walked way more than he ran. Looked miserable & dis-interested. Good bloke , but mopes around the club. Perhaps he needed a change. Not sure this yr was the right one to go to A-grade , would be starting along way back now. Any way all the best hope it brings the best out in you mate.

Yes, definately will be a long season for SM, lost too many experienced good players last season, now hoping the young players will get more experience and stronger as the season goes on.

Will upset the applecart here, couple of cracking games this weekend!

Hurstbridge Vs Lalor - tough game to pick, bit of an eight pointer this one but I reckon the Bridges at home just.
South Morang Vs Diamond Creek - you'd think Diamond Creek would win this easily.
Fitzroy Stars Vs Mernda - will be a great game on the vast expanses of Preston, Fitzroy apparently outplayed North last week, were just poor in front of goal. Thought we were pretty good last week (still a bit we can work on) and would be a great fillip if we won this one. Won't be any more than two kicks in it, would not be surprised if Fitzroy won but the heart says Mernda.
Whittlesea Vs North Heidelberg - Easily game of the round and let's hope we get a shootout between Harvey and Fairchild/Harrison. Reckon the Eagles will get up at home but let's hope the game is a great advertisement for Division Two football!

With your twos yet to win a game, did the coaching staff try to keep him, depth is necessary at any club and injuries may affect you guys as the long season goes on, trust tomorrow you also have frequent rotations each quarter to keep your runners seeing out the whole game against a quick Stars lineup , something your coach has been reluctant to do

We had a few out but you're only as good as the best 22 you have out on the park and we got outplayed by a good side that's going to challenge this year. Good learning curve for a few of the young blokes.
