The 2nd-placed, 6-4 Wonders host the ladder-leading, 7-3 Royals in a game that is not only the Match Of The Round, but also the Match of the Season. The Wonders shocked the Phoenix and the rest of the competition in the final quarter of their game on the weekend, converting a narrow 5 point 3QT lead to a 48 point win as they kicked 7 unanswered goals. The Royals started slowly, trailing by a point at quarter time, but found another gear after that as they outran and outclassed the Roys en route to a dominant 41 point win.

In contrast, the Royals had plenty of outstanding performers. GreyCrow (133 DT, 18 hitouts, 4 goals, 7 tackles) played the perfect game on the weekend , but was well supported by fellow veterans Ulahoopski (115 DT, 2 goals, 25 disposals) , CakeEater (116 DT, 2 goals, 30 disposals) and newer recruits Cadsky (90 DT, 1 goal) and hotchilli (94 DT, 1 goal).
