The one that we're shit and need to change the side.
Broadly agree, the complexity comes from the fact that our team is less than the sum of its parts because it’s unbalanced. Has been the case for years.

Fundamental to the club getting itself on track is realising the simple fact that you have to find the 22 that plays best together, not force fit the 22 best players.

It’s pretty simple but it seems to have eluded us for a long time. Clubs like Hawthorn, Sydney and Geelong seem to understand this.

So our line coaches focus on their line. That seems... pretty sensible.
Yeah it does but you also need to be aware what’s going other parts of the ground as well. Also train and implement so everyone on same page. Does what back coach interpret and train the same page as midfield? Not that simple

I didn't see anything massively different structurally, I just saw effort and the right people in the right places. Which is good, but in many ways more frustrating

Like Neeld not in the box?

Good to see him not giving the media anything. He's right the hard slog is only just beginning, one win (as good as it was) doesn't mean that we've turned the corner. We need to back that up every week over 4 quarters.

He's clearly lost a lot of respect for the media over the last week or two.

Would have been difficult circumstances given he wasn’t thrilled with Neeld being moved on. He was entitled to be a little subdued.

The other reason to temper any enthusiasm for this win is that playing group has been let off the hook a bit in terms of media laying some blame for recent perfomance on the coaching staff and structures.

Until the team can perform like this without media pressure or release there’s not a huge amount to be pumped about anyway once the excitement of the win settles.

James Kelly, reckon he had some input would know the Geelong players strength and weaknesses.
Kelly should still controlling our back line as a player in hindsight, but that’s history now.
Whatever the outcome this year, he should be the only assistant that survives. He’s got the smarts to offer a lot moving forward.

I thought it was pretty shit TBH.
Why?

I'm not an advocate of people being a dick for the sake of it, but after some of the coverage recently I'm also not at all about to criticise Worsfold for giving the media nothing.
