More info on Shayne Breuer
He was a good footballer for Geelong where he played in the 1992 and 1994 Grand Finals and much was expected of him at Kardinia Park where he had the knack of booting big goals. His form tapered in his last season at Geelong.
Originally from Woodville-West Torrens, he returned to his home state and made an indelible mark on history by booting the Power’s first ever goal. In Port Adelaide’s initial year he was considered one of their more experienced AFL players. Started out as one of the more important players in the Power line up but quickly fell out of favour and was cut from the list following 1999.
