Final teams not announced yet but conditions will be warm to hot and humid for this match. Side bowling first could well have a fair advantage with high dewpoints today. Hoping Sayers is fit as it will suit his swing quite a bit.

SA need to win to be in with a shot at reaching the final whilst WA absolutely must win to keep their faint hopes alive. Both sides are in great form, SA has won their past 3 and WA their past 2 matches.

Sayers playing, redbacks batting first. he essentially gets another day off given the redbacks make a half decent first innings score

Steamy and hot here at the ground. This is like playing in Singapore - be a tough day for the Warriors in the field. Looking forward to seeing Agar go around.

Great ball to get Raphael.

We've steadied a bit to be 1/28. Carey looks alright - for a bloke who used to be with GWS.

Agar's on now. Started off well. Already a better left-arm spinner than Doherty. Although so am I. And I'm right handed. And I don't bowl.

Head will be serious player. It's frustrating seeing him gets starts and not go on, but it's to be expected from a player of his age.

Need Ferg to turn this knock into a big one now.

he reminds me of a younger ferguson who made starts regularly and wouldnt go on, granted he is very young and hopefully will mature into a test level bat

Pretty poor captaincy from Vogues, Agar had Brown wrapped up for two overs and nearly had him stumped, gets hit over cow and drops one short and is straight off.

That's not how to captain with spin in your side.

WA probably win day 1, just. Adelaide Oval is not the same road it used to be at the same time you should still be getting around the 300 mark (isn't out of the question yet). Good knock by Jake Brown looked good at the crease, Ferguson once again doesn't go on, if he did start to convert these then his case for a national call up would look hell of a lot better. Hopefully Botha can go on with the tail and get as close to 300 as possible.

Sayers is normally a reasonable batsmen for a bowler. Not today when we needed a little more. But just hope he takes his usual wickets and is not restricted by any pain from his side strain. Tietjens is a fairly sharp bowler and does get wickets but can be expensive.

Hogan bowled well this morning. Botha should never have played at the ball he chopped on, but anyway.

248 isn't enough, but the ball should do a bit this morning. Typical stinking ****ing hot day here at Adelaide ...

And Mennie gets Harris caught behind ... off a no ball. Seriously, how ****ing hard is it to keep your front foot behind the line?
