For a whole season? I think it'd be neat. Could have alternate versions. Like the OG with red and green. And then maybe like purple and white only. Maybe a red based with white and a green based with white anchor.

Or they could continue with the best kits in club history.

The anchor certainly has some sort of charismatic charm about it. Even if they bought it back only to be worn in Derbies I'd be a fan.

I like the current jumper but miss the anchor, green & red. Therefore, I'd like to retain the current home & clash jumpers but use the main anchor jumper (last iteration before the changed to the chevrons) away against teams that it won't clash with (perhaps Geelong, Gold Coast, Hawthorn, North Melbourne & Sydney). Failing that, at least use it pre-season &/or a one-off game each year.

As they said at the time of removing it, the anchor on the front of the jumper is associated with weighing things down and not a good look.

I actually agree with them.

I can understand why they don't want to have a big anchor on their jumper anymore but they could be a bit more creative and bring in some interesting alternative pre-season/one off designs.
Their current jumper is fine but it's over rated. It's probably the weakest looking chevron design due to them being so thin.

I'd like them to bring back the anchor for special occasions. Next week would be a good chance seeing as it's their last game at Subiaco but I don't expect to see it under their current "we can only ever wear 2 different uniforms" administration.
I'm sure it will come back some day though. Even if we have to wait until their 50th anniversary.

I don't actually think they did.

It's just some well perpetuated furphy like Western Australia is the way it is because it's isolated, or that Patrick Dangerfield is really funny.

I'd personally like to see some nod to the green (in particular) and red maybe in an away or clash jumper, but I think their home jumper at the moment is very solid and probably an improvement on what they had previously, so I don't think bringing back the anchor on a more permanent basis would be a good move.
the AFLW guernsey incorporates the red and green in the chevrons iirc. the mens team could as well.

Yes

I liked the OG green one.

Only if they use Henness's old fauxback design as a green clash.

I kinda saw the chevron to be a partial homage to the anchor since it's like the bit at the bottom of an anchor (not sure if it has a specific name).
Maybe someone could try a design that uses one chevron, and adds the remaining part of the anchor, using the existing colours?
