Part of me believes they are making half of the injuries up too justify how crap we are

its just unbelievable that a club can have so many players out injured ...and some with the same injuries time and time again

but then it is west coast ...atm one of the worst clubs with managing and preventing injuries in the league

It could also be a case of - we are not competative so any injuries will be treated conservatively and rehab maximised for long term benefit. This should be the policy!

I think you're fighting an uphill battle here Miguel Sanchez

I'd prefer to see Yeo do a few weeks in the WAFL to really build his confidence back. Poor guy has had a terrible run at it.

Not sure a few weeks is necessary but definitely needs at least a couple there

Simpson seemed to indicate as much by saying bringing him straight back would be setting him up to fail

Glad that the club look to be recognising that bringing players straight back does them (or the team) no favours, annoyed that it’s taken so long

Ideally Shuey should be coming back through the WAFL as well but player availability complicates that

f*n hopeless.

That's just blatantly untrue. They release injury information at 2 further opportunities:

  • upon naming the teams when players are listed as outs with the generic '(injury)' next to their name
  • during the regular late withdrawals

In all seriousness though, as a team that is firmly planted at the bottom of the ladder we aren't really in any beneficial position by playing ducks and drakes - so it really must be pure incompetence. The only other explanation is that Tuesday afternoon is too early for us - in which case meet the AFL mandate and release what we have, then do a further update on Wednesday (or, ideally, get a team who can diagnose injuries faster than 48 hours. Ideally on game day if a guy with hammie issues has a hammie concern).

If it’s too early to assess just put it as “TBC”. They’ve had no problems doing that. They had eight TBCs a couple of weeks ago.

Leaving players off is either incompetence or laziness
