Terry Wallet speaking: Tambling 'on the verge of greatness' (or something to that effect) and we need to shore up our future.

Watching this in the Qantas Club lounge in Sydney and I literally cracked up laughing (and copped some very strange looks from the locals).

How many years and $$ would he be getting?

For the first time since he has arrived at Richmond he is showing something.

Young players deserve some time to settle in, but if I was a tiger fan I'd have been worried - up until this pre-season. I think some of his dash around packs has been great. A little bit more nous and skill and he'll escape some of the tackles that have brought him undone.

Appears clueless but that said some players take longer than others. Maybe WC or Freo have been sniffing around, as the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Richmond are awesome. I never even get a chance to wish them ill.

ROFLMAO!

:D :D :D

How does that work?

Has he actually done anything to warrant an extention on a contract of this length.

People criticised Essendon for giving Mercuri a 5 year deal at the peak of his career - Tambling is not even near the stage Mercuri was at at the time.
yeah, ive been told for the third year in a row its going to be a massive year for tambling, im not expecting anything after he promised to have a massive game in the aborigional all stars

Ha ha it just gets better.

Fair dinkum, only Richmond supporters would be dumb enough to believe the garbage coming out of Wallets mouth.

I bet all the Tugger supporters are waiting for their next dole check so they can go put it all on Tambling for the brownlow. Ha ha ha, Richmond, you gotta love them.

Is he even guaranteed a place in Richmond's best 22?

It seems that a fair few of his colleagues have passed him in terms of getting regular game time. My reading of their best 22 (injuries notwithstanding) would be this:

B: P. Bowden, Gaspar, Newman
HB: J. Bowden, Polak, Tivendale
C: Raines, Deledio, Polo
HF: Hyde, Richardson, Pettifer
F: Brown, Schulz, Kingsley
R: Simmonds, Tuck, Coughlan
Int: Knobel, Foley, Johnson, Hall

Maybe you should use your dole cheque to get an education!

As I have been saying all pre season, Tambling is clearly on the verge of superstardom. :)

Terry's 3 year contract indicates that he honestly believes Tambling will be a superstar and possibly "within 12 months". What will you do when he tears your team apart? Hmmmm...

Tambling will be a superstar you mark my words!

hee hee very good.

wallet is backed into a corner, if he does anything else then everyone will be beating him up for what we all know.

tambling has been a bit mediocre so far.

nobody is denying that. what wallace and most richmond supporters are trying to say is that he is going to be good. and its not as bad as mecuri's 5yr deal cos yes he was at his peak so they paid him to play five yrs as well as he had the previous and he didnt even play one that was half as good. they have secured tambling for the next three years so that after he has a breakout year (07 or 08) they dont have to forge out big bucks.

also a collingwood supporter saying we r waiting for our dole check?

priceless.

There's no reason why he wont improve substantially, he just needs to find more of the footy. The security of the contract may allow him to develop under less pressure, and it's not like he was going to be let go because he hasn't set the world alight yet.
