Yes would agree with this…..essentially dropping down the equivalent of 2 grades in standard. I know they were putrid last year….but big drop!
Couldn’t agree more, but I do think Hampton will give them some form of a challenge, if not take it off them.If they kept the same group from last year who just had to grind out games and learn from losing I think they will breeze past sides this year fast paced well trained the younger sharlassian for the league medal

St. John’s gave them a shellacking of 130 points yesterday, don’t think so.Morrabbin even if they didn’t keep the stkilda city fossils will finish 3/4 there’s some talent in there not on the level of the 2 above

Hasn't there coach just walked out on them over the last week? Hard to see them making finalsSurely Clayton will make finals?
Only 7 years ago they were playing finals in D1……big fall from grace if they can’t make it in this division!

Would hope not….from memory (a few pages back on this thread) he was coaching the Seniors, Reserves and Women’s teams. Would leave the club up sh$t creek if that was the case!Hasn't there coach just walked out on them over the last week? Hard to see them making finals

Nope. Only the league can see it now we are on playHQis there somewhere you can go to see the SNFL 2024 transfers?

If you get a chance Mortlock can you draw up a map and post the regions of 3 such comps set up. Would be interested to see who you have in each. I need a visual….sorry pal!AFL Vic need to do some serious work on the region and their employees show some balls and leadership rather than fiddle-faddle in the background doing FA to fix things.
The region from St Kilda to Portsea should have three leagues with defined catchment areas:
SFL - southern boundary starting at Mordialloc and runs east along Hutton Rd to Hallam and then north along Hallam Rd
MPFL - starts from the boundary listed above. Southern boundary is Mornington across to M420 at Tooradin and work out whether clubs on the southern fringe such as Somerville and Pearcedale want into this league. Eastern boundary is the Pakenham-Koo Wee Rup Rd.
Nepean FL - anything south of the southern boundary listed above.
Clubs can negotiate with AFL Vic and the leagues to go into a certain league (especially if they are in it now) and then when it is all sorted it is all then locked in.
The whole system got stuffed up when the VMFL and VCFL were dispensed with - they both had definitive boundaries for leagues which were adhered to. The then-Football Victoria let things run roughshod and stuffed it all up.
Does this mean Cerebrus are officially folded as well? Gone like Sandown haveVerdict in for the MPFNL clubs wanting into the Southern league’s Open Grade
The final decision on the two MPFNL teams hoping to field a stand-alone side in the Southern league is in, while there’s a name change and two divisions also set for the competition.

Mornington Peninsula league club’s Edithvale-Aspendale and Pearcedale have been denied entry into the Southern league’s Open Grade competition.
Open Grade, previously called Thirds, was attractive to the Eagles and Dales, who have an excessive number of players.
It’s understood the Edithvale-Aspendale has over 100 interested players while Pearcedale has surpassed 80.
The two clubs were asked to follow the application process like every Southern league club but their place in the competition was to be assessed by the board.
The board has since opted against Edithvale-Aspendale and Pearcedale’s position in the competition.
Open Grade will be two divisions this season as opposed to the 14-team competition last year.
Sandown, Bentleigh and South Mornington-Cerberus look to be making way for Cheltenham, Black Rock and the returning Hallam.
Impressively, Lyndhurst has applied for two Open Grade teams.
A number of teams will confirm their place in the competition over the coming week.
