So how many wins next year. So how are you?

I'd say 2-3 wins.

Some injury prone veterans to come back heavily off-set by the loss of Bolton, Baker and Rioli. Considering the aim will be to get as many games into the youngsters I can't see us winning too many more games than last year.

Our draft recruiting is incomplete...I have expectations we can rise after overcoming our injuries...I reckon we focus on development of our youngsters while Tassy is on the horizon...
Bottom four...once Tassy is running...we get serious!
what if our drafting is complete ?

we may already have our new spine

let them play to win. no tanking

If we take a top 3 pick again next year we might have too many mids and need to get rid of someone sooner rather than later
Pardon me for not understanding the draft, but can't you pick anyone you like from the pool of draftees?

For example we could have got Matt Whitlock with pick 1

nah rule number one dont take tall campaigners from 1-5

I don't think you can do it in one draft.

In all likelihood we end up with 2 top 5 picks next year and then we can start talking future spine. The year after that we'll probably end up with at least 1 top ten pick and through some dealing we should be looking to get more first rounders.

That would be three drafts where we've had the most sustained crack at the draft of any established club in history. A lot still has to go right as high picks are no guarantee. Carlton had three pick 1's in succession and several other good picks but weren't able to even contend.

On top of our draftees (looking through the next couple of years) we're also going to be able to hunt some UFAs. If some holes need plugging that's where we can do it.

In short, we don't need to tank. If we play the kids this year we'll struggle to stay out of the bottom two anyway. Don't forget, we essentially lost our best three players last year with whom we finished bottom.

Anywhere between 2 - 9 wins.

I'd bet the house with Bickley that we don't finish on zero wins

The comp is very weak at the moment. 10 teams could win it. I suspect GWS, Freo, Brisbane and Carlton will be top 4.

The Blues have an easy draw and will get ump assisted as the CFL will want a vic team in the top 4.

With injuries Collingwood could fall of the cliff
Essendon will drop
St Kilda will drop
Melbourne will drop
Norf will still be bottom 4

We'll finish last, but the bottom 3 teams will rack up more wins this season. I reckon the bottom three will get 3, 5 and 7 wins respectively. Saints, Essendon, Melbourne, Collingwood and Geelong all look beatable if you get them on the right day.

I reckon we'll get 3-5 wins this season. Ideally Larkey gets injured at North, they finish bottom and we finish second bottom. We take 1-2 in the 2025 draft.
