A few days ago when I went to listen to music on my computer it didn't work, saying that no sound device had been selected. When I have looked at the options, it says that no sound device is installed on my computer. I had been listening to music the night before, so I know it worked until then. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Does anybody know how to fix this problem, and if so, how? I thought it may have been a virus but everything appears to be clear. I'm running Windows XP. Cheers!

Tried that. It's been going on for 4 days now. I've thought about reinstalling XP, but that takes too much time and there's probably an easy fix.

Reinstall the sound card drivers. If you are using XP, go to device manager, and roll back the drivers.
