Following the Swamprats loss to the Bears, new Swamprats rookie sportsmaniac89 was seething with anger and subsequently spoke to star reporter Carowhine Barrett leaving in no doubt whatsoever his feelings towards the SFA umpiring fraternity

I'd like to say that as coach I fully support sportsmaniac89's comments.

I know he gets unfairly treated, because the umpires told our players yesterday, 'well, he's a lunatic with a lifelong hatred of umpires in fluro so we don't pay free kicks to sportsmaniac'.

They told our guys that, so that’s clearly a preconceived idea. I just want the umpires to umpire what they see, not preconceived ideas.
