As the title suggests, who are these men and who did they beat?

Looking for guys who had no real ability yet would always get assigned a job on a certain opposition player. Their opponent was, on paper, a much better player but they always got the job done.

I remember Ben Holland always being brought in for the Queen's Birthday game against Collingwood for a three year period, simply to negate Anthony Rocca. Holland's spot on our list was questionable at the time but he would always beat Rocca who was a vital to Collingwood winning around that time.

THe other one I remember was Mark Bolton from Essendon who would always be sent to Koutafides and negated him very well.

Glenn Manton on Warren Tredrea. Fair enough when Tredders was just getting going, but Manton kept getting on top of him even when Tredders had become a world beater. I guess to be fair Manton wasn't really a spud but you know what I mean.

Holland on rocca crazy scragging tactics which he got away with sk good for him, rocca did destroy his shoulder in 07 though

Jason Cloke loved toweling Adelaide iirc
Ryan lonie had a decent record in Adam goodes
The Chad Morrison got kouta and did the job a couple of times, didn't do anything else ever

Fraser has given Cox a few beatings, given their respective standings in the game I'd say that qualifies.

First round draft pick vs rookie? >_>

I wouldn't ever cal Crouch a spud, so I think the premise of the thread may be a little off, because his name was actually the first I thought of. Maybe "large talent differential" or something would be better, because he used to bend Aker over when they played, but he wasn't 1/20th he playr Aker was.
