Start Time for WCE v Ess on Friday Night

I have noticed that the start time for Friday is now listed as 5.45pm after being listed at 6.40pm for the past few months making it mighty hard for people to get to the game after work on Friday now. Obviously this is to fit the game in the 8.30pm timeslot over east on TV to the detriment of the WCE fans who want to get along to the game and watch thier team.

If only we had daylight savings over here still.......

It is pretty sad you have to play it when it is convenient in the east for ratings. I guess they realised cricket was such a fizzer this year that even a practice match will bring in huge interest.

Back in the 80's, the Melb clubs were all but broke, whoring themselves out like money was growing on trees.

It was only through the donations of WCE & Brisbane, through their $4M or so each in joining fees, that you pricks (Eastern State Clubs) avoided folding over.

Yeah the early timeslot sucks. It'll probably still be hot as buggery, and if you live 2 hours away like myself, it's pretty much impossible to be at the ground in time after work.
