State Game - 2011

Just read this, even though the news has been out since December. The state game is v Queensland (yippee!) and is being played at Rushton Park. The redeveloped Rushton Park that is costing 9M that is.

So, the question is, if the game is at Rushton will you go?

Not going to Rushton for the game, too far for me. I think the WAFL has made a bad call here, the game should be at Leederville like it has been in the past.

I don't mind it as a one off with the new facilities they've been building down there in Mandurah. I mean I remember when they played a State match out in Kalgoorlie, at least Rushton Park is a WAFL venue. And without showing too much disrespect to Queensland if it was SA or the Vics then it would have to be a Leederville no question.

Realistically it's one of those things that if you want to go (and have the ability to get there) you'll go regardless of whether it's at Leederville, Rushton or any of the other WAFL grounds..

No-one would show up at Leederville. Not many bother when it's against Victoria or SA.

At least in Mandurah they can promote it as some sort of event and probably get 3 or 4000.

But TBH I probably won't go...Would rather it remain at Leedervile or mabey Subi??
