He kicked that showdown goal, so just for that, no.Could he be our worst trade / pickup of all time?
He kicked that showdown goal, so just for that, no.
Some nice games and cameos here and there, but never the linebreaking star we needed him to be.
But he’s been the best value of the ultimately disastrous 2018 RFA/trade crop, which speaks volumes.
See above. Difficult for those mids to have that one decent quarter when the opposition ruck is getting six hitouts to advantage to zero and five centre clearances to zero in that quarter. Six hitouts to advantage in a full game would be a decent result.I'm going to die on the hill of Rockliff had a superb 2020 and we just needed one decent quarter from him and the other mids in the prelim and that recruiting decision looks a hell of a lot better.
Lycett, the Prelim Final anti-specialist. Back-to-back prelim no-shows. But hey, he talks himself up like Dixon, so there’s that.See above. It didn’t work out but I don’t hate the list management principle. Let’s be honest, flags are pretty hard to win these days without spending half a decade in the bottom 4.Some nice games and cameos here and there, but never the linebreaking star we needed him to be.

And helps keep Hayes out of the side, by Hinkley playing a make shift ruck setup, rather than Hayes more games to make it clear to even the happy clappers, how much better it is when your midfield gets first use of the ball (which Lycett doesn't do).Scott Lycett is our worst free agent pickup of all time. He cost us three million dollars, Paddy Ryder, Peter Ladhams, and the 2020 preliminary final. Motlop's just a non-entity, he hasn't actively harmed us.
agree he's well and truly cookedI reckon he's probably one that's always struggled with the pressure first mantra.
Coaching any Motlop is probably more about see ball get ball.. sure lay a tackle if it's there.
We actively coach reactionary football. He's cooked though.
All tip, no iceberg. Some nice games and cameos here and there, but never the linebreaking star we needed him to be.
