100 times correct. Teams resting players against us, before and during games. Possibly less competitive by the week. We do excel in making some bog ordinary players on other teams look better than they are. Thats currently about the value we add to the league. Cant wait till next week. One enjoyable round.

Strength and conditioning department (if such one exists) needs a complete overhaul. As a team we are able to play about 20 minutes of high-pressure football at the beginning of games with some offensive run & carry, and then we just flame out. By the 2nd quarter we lose our offensive run and are able to just hold on defensively. Third quarter rolls around and we are out on our feet, and the opposition put us to the sword. Our fitness levels are so far off the average team, let alone the top echelon. Until this changes then it won't matter how many young jets we are able to draft, we will continue to be a bottom two team.

This team looked exhausted after half time. It's the under 50 gamers that need this bye so badly. And there are several out there that should be in the VFL and not come into selection until they're clearly above VFL standard.

-We had 7 players (nearly a third of the team) with fewer than 10 possessions. One of these (Scott: 8 disposals) is our wing. Our “AA” full forward touched the ball 5 times.

-LDU was massive. Should have kicked that final one to take BOG honours

-Fisher was better in defence

- Powell didn’t do enough. While he had six tackles, for a player who is not a defensive runner, this just isn’t good enough

- Sheezel did a few nice things, but I would rather him play as a high HF or wing at this stage. He seems to be more effective in tight in open play rather than in congestion at the stoppage. He still had 5 tackles, 7 clearances and a goal though

- Xerri worked hard and his tap work was better. It was quite nice to see him bludgeon some of those smarmy Port pricks with his tackling

- Wardlaw was better in the second half

- for his well-being, I think Duursma should play for a block in the 2s

- Zurhaar presented well

- Tucker ran all day

- Comben and Corr were decent again in defence.

- Dawson will be a better 3rd tall than a one-on-one defender. I just don’t see him being able to stay with a direct opponent in future.

- Archer was unlucky with a few calls, but didn’t have a great day.

I can’t really be bothered remembering the rest. **** this is dire. We are not going to win a game this season…

Not always but leading patterns require space, smart team mates and good delivery. He has none of those three very often. Not to mention being gassed from so many contests.
