New show on the USA Network about a guy who gets a job at a law firm without a degree. I loved the pilot, hopefully it rates well enough to hang around.

Even the best lawyer in New York City can use some help.

While running from a drug deal gone bad, Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a brilliant young college-dropout, slips into a job interview with one of New York City's best legal closers, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). Tired of cookie-cutter law school grads, Harvey takes a gamble by hiring Mike on the spot after he recognizes his raw talent and photographic memory.

Mike and Harvey are a winning team. Even though Mike is a genius, he still has a lot to learn about law. And while Harvey may seem like an emotionless, cold-blooded shark, Mike's sympathy and concern for their cases and clients will help remind Harvey why he went into law in the first place. Mike's other allies in the office include the firm's best paralegal Rachel (Meghan Markle) and Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna (Sarah Rafferty) to help him serve justice.

Proving to be an irrepressible duo and invaluable to the practice, Mike and Harvey must keep their secret from everyone including managing partner Jessica (Gina Torres) and Harvey's arch nemesis Louis (Rick Hoffman), who seems intent on making Mike's life as difficult as possible.

Anyone else seen it? Thoughts?

yeah i liked the first episode, USA have a lot of good summer programs, with White Collar and Psych, and it was disappointing they bumped Psych this year to the fall. USA always seem to get good chemistry between the characters from the first episode.

went in thinking this will suck but THERE is nothing else on so i'll give it a crack

was pleasantly surprised

some of it was a bit too TV but it had everything, sick grandma, drugs, quit on the first day, about 4 budding romances

and there was some actual LOL moments which i was not expecting

will soldier in only to see it cut just as it gets good i reckon

I did have a bit of a cringe at the grandma moments but hopefully it doesn't get too cheesy.

Here's the preview for episode 2 if anyones interested...

Good second episode too. Great start for the series, seems to nail the quirkiness, humour and serious stuff well.

Louis is a great character, one that the viewer will love to hate very soon I feel.

So we're now 6 episodes in and I'm absolutely hooked!

The season is going for 12 episodes, so I think with what happened between Rachael and Mike at the end of the last episode (won't spoil it) I think the timing is about right for Mike's lack of degree to become a big issue come the season finale.

Also noticed that ad's have been running for the show on Channel 7 this week, so hopefully a bit of mainstream coverage can bring a few more fans on board.

Just started watching, up to episode 6. Great show, very surprised. :thumbsu:

I was getting into The Defenders before it got axed, this show has the same witty type lawyer comedy mixed in with drama but it is so more well round with it's characters, storyline, etc. Also like how they're advancing the storyline well every episode so far.

They've casted very well - love Mike and Harvey. Excellent choices. Louis I like too. Not really at first but his character has grown on me. Plays one of the main antagonist's so far (not really much of a threat though) but brings a lot to the comedy side. Sort of balances out the show a bit. Donna is well played for a small type role. Rachel is interesting too (sorta, although mainly cause she's smoking hot). Yeah, agree with the above that there a lot of sexy girls in this show. Not that I'm complaining. :D

Will be interesting where they can take it from here.

Love the photos that Louis has on his desk.
