And I remember hearing that he wanted to re-sign with GWS in 2013, but they were so consumed with trying to sign Franklin and lots of their uncontracted players were being forced to wait and then Collingwood got in his ear.

Why would Jordon resent Melbourne for making him a regular sub? A spot in an AFL team is a privilege, not a right. Typical media looking for storylines where there aren't any.

He still sounds devastated about leaving. I hope he can settle in properly because I'd hate to see him change his mind and request a trade back to a melb club in 12 months. Emotion is a powerful thing, we've seen that with Gunston this year.

Being in a winning team will help but if we're losing I think it will play on his mind, especially if the pies are doing well.

I'm always suspicious of guys who pull on new colours and start spouting things like "yeah got good mates there but it was time for a change and I'm loving it." Not that there's anything wrong with the guys who see their club as just their place of employment where they play their footy, but the vibe I get from Adams is that he really invests in and gives his all to his club. Those are good qualities to be adding to our group IMO.

I hope he manages to make new friends here. There are not a lot in the playing group around his age. Lloyd, Fox, Cunningham, Parker, Reid, Hamling and Grundy. Same for Hamling and Grundy. Those first five have been together a fair while.
