Welcome to the Sweet C.A - Bigfooty's premier simulated cricket league.

The Sweet C.A is a home away from home for all of us to entertain ourselves - and each other - in a friendly, welcoming environment.

BIGFOOTY RULES
First and foremost, please remember the Bigfooty Rules - known as The Commandments of BigFooty.

SWEET F.A RULES
We are part of the Sweet F.A family, and adhere to the Sweet FA rules regarding basic conduct and etiquette. If it is not tolerated in the Sweet F.A, it is not tolerated here. You are welcome to browse the Sweet FA Season 38 Rules.

SWEET C.A RULES
Matters (inclusive of league administration, administrator conduct, decisions, penalties etc) not specifically listed below revert to the Sweet F.A rules and/or a logical, common Sweet C.A equivalent when considering terminology or process.

Rules and information specifically pertaining to the Sweet C.A requiring clear differentiation to the Sweet F.A include:

1) Administration and Leadership
The Sweet C.A Administrator is the Sweet F.A Administrator of the day.
The Sweet C.A Admin Panel ("The Panel") for Season 01 consists of the Sweet F.A Administrator The Filth Wizard, akkaps and cats2rise.
The match simmer is cats2rise.

2) League
The Sweet C.A utilises Syedur Rahman's The Cricket Simulator, and specifically will be using the Test Simulator to a simulate a four-day first-class season.

The scoring system is as follows:

3) Teams and Divisions
Sweet C.A Season 01 is comprised of six teams, namely:

4) Squad Management
Season 01 squad rules consist of:
  • A minimum of 13 players
  • A minimum of 1 x wicketkeeper
  • A minimum of 2 x all-rounders of any type
Penalties otherwise apply.

The Panel reserves all rights pertaining to the draft, sign-ups, transfers and player type changes to ensure fair and equitable squad management regarding wicketkeepers and all-rounders.

Each squad in the league must consist of at least one wicketkeeper prior to a team signing a second wicketkeeper.


Season 01 Squad Management Rules
Upon completion of the draft, each team will be allowed to make up to two player type banding changes with player consent up until the completion of Season 01.

For example, a Batting All Rounder (Band 3) can use one of the teams player banding changes to become a Pure Batter (Band 2) or a Pure All Rounder (Band 4).

For Season 01 only and upon completion of the draft, each team will be allowed to make up to two bowling type changes with player consent up until the completion of Season 01.

Rules associated with matters beyond Season 01 such as player transfers and delistings are to be determined.

5) Player Registration, Types and Averages
Any new player is required to complete their application in the applicable thread as follows:

6) Match, Pitch Selection and Team Sheets

Team Sheet
The deadline for team sheet submission is XXXX unless stated otherwise.

Team Sheets must be displayed in a conventional, logical cricketing format comprehensible the game simmers. This includes:
  • Players listed in order of appearance in the batting line up on individual lines
  • Player Type in accordance with the player registration
  • Changes (both team line up and batting order) from the previous match listed
The accepted formats are below:

Any given selected match team must include:
  • At least one wicketkeeper. If multiple wicketkeepers are listed, the simulator consideres one wicketkeeper at random as a pure batter.
  • At least one all-rounder of any type
  • At least two players capable of bowling (bowlers, all-rounders) that can bowl pace.
Penalties otherwise apply.

Pitch Selection
The home team captain/leader may select the pitch type for home match from:
  • Batting Pitch
  • Normal Pitch
  • Bowling Pitch
  • Random Pitch.
The pitch selection is due with the team sheet submission.

7) Simming Rules
The fixture will allow for home and away games, however the simmer will ensure that the pitch is selected as 'neutral' in the sim.

9) League Awards
At the end of each season, the following awards are presented:
  • Grand Final: Winner, Runner Up
  • Division: Winner
  • League: All-SCA XI, Best and Fairest
  • Player: Top Runscorer (Orange Cap), Top Wicket Taker (Purple Cap)
10) Committee
A Sweet CA committee will be formed on as needs to basis to discuss matters deemed to require the input from those outside The Panel. Each team will nominate one player to be its representative within the Committee.
