Well, depending on what the AFL & NSW decide our team could consist of Buddy & McInerney vs Crows.

However, lets not dwell on things outside of our control. Because I really really want to go to the footy tomorrow and even if they say there's no match its entirely possible we all might turn up anyway just for the feels.

Swans lose Rowbottom to injury, McLean makes way and Hayward omitted.

Milestones:
Tom McCartin plays his 50th game for the Swans...wow, they grow up so quick these days.
Some bloke called Buddy Franklin is making an appearance and there's a heap of people excited about it.

how can it ahead?
NSW govt hasn't said no.

But since I've just knocked off work and haven't slept in 24 hours I'm probably not the most rational person to ask. Oh the joys of IT.
If I grab 4 hours sleep still might make the game...providing I can wake up.

It feels harsh to say given he's shown more class in his last two outings than he has across his whole career, but I think Florent is under pressure to perform well today. No Rowbottom means more midfield rotations up for grabs. Last week Florent had 9 CBAs while Warner had 8, which suggests Horse doesn't see a lot of difference between the two, and I'd argue Warner had the better game. I think once it might've seemed unfathomable that a player like Florent would be dropped, but after the Hayward omission I really do feel like anyone performing below where they probably should be - and Florent as a fifth-year mid should be doing better than a second-year mid in Warner - will end up on the chopping block. Particularly when next week (if all goes well) we'll have a mid walking straight back in to take some unlucky bugger's spot, just as Buddy did with McLean.

Of course McInerney, Warner, Wicks, Campbell, Gulden etc are under pressure too as they are the least established members of the team, but they'd be under no illusions that they're one or two sub-standard performances away from being dropped. Florent would have every right as a player in that 70-game range to feel like a key player in the team, but his performances have to start validating that or it may leave Horse with no choice.

(Saying this as a big fan and believer in Florent.)

Crows by 30 as we drank too much bathwater and show our young inconsistant nature
Swans by 30 as Adelaide drank too much bathwater, have a depleted defense and will be overly focussed on Buddy while Errol, Isaac and Logo pepper the big sticks all the sunny Sydney afternoon long.

If it wasnt for me having a university assignment due sometime soon would have been an outside chance to go to the game... damnit.
all the best for your assignment :books:

Swans and Crows draw 30-30 as they drank too much bathwater, Adelaide's depleted defence will be overly focused on Errol, Isaac and Logo while young Buddy inconsistently peppers the big sticks all the sunny Sydney afternoon long.

...because the Crows haven’t been up and about after Geelong...

Hydration will not be a problem

"I think once it might've seemed unfathomable that a player like Florent would be dropped,"

Only to the vast majority of swan fans, a few of us kept the faith and realised he is a turnover merchant who should be traded.
