Did you just compare Doedee to Orazio?

Even with their respective injury histories I wouldn’t take 10 Orazio’s for 1 Doedee

Oh dear.

My sarcasm metre appears broken. Surely you jest.

(Edit - It’s not my sarcasm metre that’s broken, it’s my literacy. Read it as he “would” take 10 Orazios for 1 Doedee...)

Brisbane aren't idiots. There's no guarantee that Daniher will play more than 5 games a year. Him blaming the Essendon medical staff is a laugh. Hope Brisbane don't fall for that garbage.
If you believe the rumours, Danihers efforts in doing his rehab was well below what it needed to be to recover as well.

Fantasia stinks of a Bryce Gibbs situation where he uses us to get home on a nice fat paycheck
It does a little bit doesn't it.

He is 4 years younger and I'm not sure he's in a position to demand a big paycheck though. His type of player is a big need for us, but I'm not convinced we should be paying him anything other than incentive based contracts

Agree. It should be a last chance, come home to revive your career, type thing. Not big money and a cheap trade.

If its not like that then we don't entertain it.

I don't think he's a need as such. I don't think you can play 3 genuine smaller forwards. One of them needs to be able to run through the stoppage and midfield rotations. We're too inflexible as it is. I don't think he's a certain improvement on either Stengle or McAdam.

It's a good point, but on a small incentive based deal he's probably a better option than Murphy.

If you were a list manager it could be argued that trajectory wise Gibbs at 29 and Orazio at 25 have comparable estimated games left in them after this season based on the 3 years before each respective club move.

I think the most wildly optimistic hoped we could squeeze 100 games out of Bryce. If we got Orazio i'd set the over/under at 40. And i'd be taking the under!

I don’t know about Daniher’s situation, but to be fair (and I’ve mentioned it before), Essendon had a “pump you full of painkillers and deal with your injuries later, just get out there and play” policy” a year or two back (not sure about now). That is why Fantasia is where he is at and it almost ruined Hooker. Could be the same for Daniher.

That’s what I was told anyway.

Murphy isn't in our best 22 with fit and in form Stengle/McAdam. Himmelberg, Fog, Stengle, McAdam, Lynch, rotating mid spot. Then there's the small issue that we seem fixated on 3 key forwards. So we've already lost the rotating mid spot and are structured with 6 pure forwards.
