HAHAHA the Saad/Carlton/Dodoro saga is gonna be hilarious
I do think it’ll eventually be a 3-team deal with Geelong, honestly
agree so we need to stay clear of it
essendon probably end up with picks 6,7,8 with us pushed to 9Really is the same sh*t every year with Essendon. They're more interested in the fight than the result.
What's this tax thing you're talking about? Is that some of weird new Brad-specific thing?Oh yeah ...Brad loves Adelaide, but he's trying to set his future up
Can't blame him, most of us would do likewise, but what premium is enough to sacrifice your lifestyle ?
Suggest we'd pay $600K over 3 years with an option .......so his walkaway deal has to be $750K + allowing for 50% taxation rate
Interesting concept .....not sure the Tax Dept agreesWhat's this tax thing you're talking about? Is that some of weird new Brad-specific thing?
Unless you're thinking of tax. That thing that everyone knows about and mostly pays, and more money still equals more money, even with tax.
Sports folk do get the ability to pay less and spread out tax payments over the years in recognition that their peak pay is not likely representative of their lifetime average, but again not new.
Interesting concept .....not sure the Tax Dept agrees
run that by me again? What's this tax thing you're talking about? Is that some of weird new Brad-specific thing?

hmmm not now. farmers is different thats a business not direct incomeI haven't done tax for 30 years but that certainly was the case for professional sports people and farmers. They were taxed on a 5 year average from memory.
thats very unfair - what do you mean other professionals? you cant average your income over years if you are PAYG employee as far as I knowSportspeople are considered the same as artists and other professionals and have an average tax rate applied over a number of years. Can also license their “image” to a trust or company and divert that income to a spouse.
Certain people have income that fluctuates wildly. They would otherwise pay more tax over time than someone who earned the same amount of income who’s annual earnings were more steady.thats very unfair - what do you mean other professionals? you cant average your income over years if you are PAYG employee as far as I know
the second bit anyone could potentially do i guess if well known
excellent i will look into this! thanks
this board is useful for somethingCertain people have income that fluctuates wildly. They would otherwise pay more tax over time than someone who earned the same amount of income who’s annual earnings were more steady.
Can't be bothered at this time to look up more, but it is a thing.run that by me again?
the bit about spreading income over tax years. do you have any details? that sounds like a discrimination law suit to me.
Yeah, they do.Interesting concept .....not sure the Tax Dept agrees
excellent i will look into this! thanks
it sounds dodgy thats all. im glad i was corrected...You seemed to already know it. Odd that you'd done no research whatsoever and yet knew everything about it.
