From the perspective of being a great clubman and a decent inside mid Adams will be a big loss.

But as a forward line player not so much.

This is pretty much it and Adams knows it. He could back himself and try and win back that midfield place, but maybe he knows he’s up against it.

I’ll wish him well as he was indeed a great clubman.

Ray Shaw retired because Hafey told him to piss off. Your second sentence is meaningless - Adams just played his most games and is still strong and quick
Just back luck with injuries at the pointy end of the season. Gun

The point is, we don’t actually know what would have happened if Adams played. It’s a little thing called fate.

We would’ve won by more if he played. He would’ve been better than Lipinski or Ginnivan.

At the moment we could get by without Adams because we’ve got Mitchell.

If Adams leaves and Mitchell was to get a long term injury or miss the finals then we’d be in trouble.

I’d rather he stay because we are a better chance of winning again next year with him. Short term success we are better with him. Looking longer term I think we’d be better if he left. Tough call.

He has a contract with the reigning premiers. Excellent chance to finish with a flag or two. This group is not done, if he walks it will be a mistake.
Won't be a mistake if we are well compensated.
Wines as an example..
Younger and as good.

Having one of either Mitchell or Adams at every stoppage is where he would be missed. Adams playing forward means we lose nothing when it comes to midfield rotations.

A mistake for him. Jesus, how is your comprehension?
Why a mistake for him if he leaves?
Likely a massive contract boost.
My comprehension ok.

Perhaps looking at his career earnings before he retires.

Perhaps it's all bullshite.

I'll go with whatever the club chooses. They have the runs on the board

Are you for real?
I said it would be a mistake because he will miss another flag.
If your comprehension is ok you must be deliberately obtuse. Don’t bother replying , I’m done with you.

I've been done with you for a while.
Fun bantering against your crap though.

Sometimes a few extra dollars gives you momentum in your latter years.
It may be more important to him.

It may not and he stays

I personally love fatalism

But JB1975 would describe it as a complex adaptive system

(he's such a wayne kerr)

Now I'm wondering what sort of adaptive mechanism would be best to deal with your stalking.

Might move directly from humour to intervention order.

My pretensions are precious to me, a-hole.

Each to their own , I’m not seeing that. Regardless it’s not about what he’s achieved in the past, it’s about his Collingwood and adams see the future

Sometimes I think that people argue just for the sake of it.

Do you ever feel that way?

No? No? Well there you go again, Timmy. You're determined to make an argument where none exists.

I know, Timmy. I know that Collingwood and Taylor and Sydney and maybe some other parties will negotiate a future outcome. I am intimately aware of this fact, almost indecently so.

But that has nothing to do with what us little people sit around and talk about in this fetid cave, and I think the value (past, present and possibly future) of my Tay Tay has been too easily brushed aside.

Some of the discussion has indeed been disrespectful. No need to get forensic, take my word for it.

I jus5 said each to their own because I dont agree with you about people being disrespectful.

Maybe it’s you thats arguing for the sake of it.

Was it me who responded to a post of yours and took issue with it?

No, but we shouldn't let that get in the way of anything. We're comfortably post-truth these days.

Not only do I acknowledge the possibility that you're right; I also say that your position is as true as any other.

I am vindicated and chastened, I think.

As a team we cant keep still and we cant do mates rates - its a tough sport with tough decisions, I'm all for moving ppl (outside the untouchables) on as longer as it benefits us.

For the record, my untouchables are:

Moore
IQ
Naicos
Crisp
Hill
Moore
Maynard
JDG

Josh Daicos just won a Copeland..... just saying
