i no taz has brought alot of this media scrutiny on himself but you have to start feeling sorry for the bloke.he has been coping it from pillar to post for the last 5 weeks,so what he tries to do is the clear the air and admit he was wrong on a few accasions and will try to redeem himself in a interview.but instead of being applauded for it he is coping it again, can he do anything right at the moment he must be the most talked about player in the afl for who nows how long. i just hope he gets back to his best and proves alot of people wrong

It's all becoming a little bit boring actually.
Did he take drugs? No. Was he driving under the influence? Not to my knowledge.
Is his football suffering? Maybe, but he's not the only footballer to have a few off weeks.
Gardiner didn't get this much attention for writing off a car under the influence, so why is Tarrent still front page news?
Hope he kicks a bag soon and shuts everyone up.

I read the article on him in the Herald Sun today (back pages) and it's good to see that he acknowledges what he has done wrong and he is willing to right his wrongs. I have faith in him turning some of those habits into good ones and look forward to seeing him return to his awesome form from "03 and be an asset to the club once again.

i (capital I please) no (try know) taz (capital T for a name) has brought alot (two words here, a lot) of this media scrutiny on (upon would be better) himself but you have to start feeling sorry for the bloke.he (a space goes here somewhere) has been coping (yikes, two Ps please) it from pillar to post for the last 5 weeks,so (where's that space?) what he tries to do is the clear the air (try this "so he tries to clear the air" much tidier) and admit he was wrong on a few accasions (oh dear) and will try to redeem himself in a interview.but (how do you redeem yourself in an interview? Oh yes, and that space again) instead of being applauded for it he is coping (I'm glad he's coping... or did you mean copping again?) it again, (this should be a full stop) can (capital on this now that it's a full stop) he do anything right at the moment (and a full stop, followed by a capital) he must be the most talked about player in the afl (our friend the capital again) for who nows (who knows?) how long. i (capital) just hope he gets back to his best and proves alot (two words... again!) of people wrong (and end with a nice one of these.)

Wait... you barrack for Collingwood and are concerned about Grammar?

At least tell the lad what he did wrong.

This could be a full time job! :thumbsu:

LoL good job mate, you picked up on a few that I missed :thumbsu:

Well, yesterday, I picked up my Herald Sun and saw, yet again, Taz on the front and back pages...Mick did an exclusive on him. WOW!

I seriously thought there was nothing wrong with Taz doing an exclusive to set things straight, even if Mick didn't like it (from MX), but the fact the Herald Sun continue to fill there paper's headlines with something that doesn't need to be there, then the concern is there. Tarrant probably wouldn't have thought the Sun would sink that low, again (re: Didak), yet they did. So, in conclusion, what Taz did was fair enough considering the garbage on him, wheras the Herald Sun continue their petty headlines to put it all back on the club, simple solution, even if it is in good with no harm, Pies should just tell the media to get f**ked TBH.

:D Post of the year!! If you are going to correct someone, you have to make sure you find all the mistakes.

The reason Malthouse is so pi$$ed (the outburst last week and yesterday) with the Herald Sun is because they are holding information over the CFC and Tarrant himself.

Tarrant got in trouble with police after his 200th game. Again it was an early morning incident and he was blind drunk. The only reason he didn't get charged by police was because Collingwood became involved and paid the victim who withdrew his complaint keeping it in house.

The playing group knew about it but the media didn't find out. However they were made aware of it last week which cause the first outburst by Malthouse and that's how the Herald Sun got there exclusive yesterday

tazz is his own worst enemy no1 should feel sorry for him i am a long time supporter of him on the field but if he wants every1 off his back he needs to do a fevola n turn himself around

wen tazz is at his best he is unstoppable but it is all up 2 him to get back up to his best which we all know he can do if he clears his head and starts actin like a footballer...hopefully he can do that and be the player that every1 knos he can be

Yeah, hilarious. Man I can't believe I missed that one, now that it has been pointed out. Worst thing is, it was the first mistake I picked up on when reading his post. Oh well, sh*t happens. At least I got a laugh out of it too.

LOL I remember copping SOOOOOOOOO much **** for the way I used my grammar in the early days, hmmmmmmmm, you guys have been a splendid influence on me. My God, I sound so gay!

Because over the years he's kept to himself, not done many interviews, and not done the footy personality infinite media talkshytathon,... he's remained private and a bit of a mystery. You'd think that's his choice.

But it has left him open to media exploitation in that, because he hasn't done the "job" of establishing his own media-perception-personality, he's been left open for the media to define him at their own whim. You've never seen much of "Big Taz washing dogs for cancer," or photo-ops of "Hero Taz orphanage footy clinic triumph," or even page-three style "Cop the Gazongas on New Taz Tottie!" He also doesn't give out much "Yeahnah full credit to the boys we knew they'd come out hard" etc etc.

I mean I saw Taz do an aftermatch interview one week this year... and my whole reaction was "so that's what he actually sounds like! He's only been at Collingwood for 7? years, never heard what he sounds like before!" But you know, he seemed cool enough. Collingwood fans would like to see more ok media interaction with him, I would suppose. Geez especially if he remembers how to play like 2003!

But you see, the media are *****. And if they can't get their pound of yeahnah flesh out of you by legitimate normal means, (i.e. because you're private and personally you don't want any more goddamn attention than you already get,) then they'll stick their probiscus into you and suck your blood another way.

And SPINNING S#!T is what just comes natural to them. "Beat Up" is a key concept for understanding a large % of all media content.

And also anyone who plays for Collingwood and is supposed to be ANY bloody good will ALWAYS cops a lot of **** from opposition fans, it's not just Tarrant. Tarrant plays mercurial/inconsistent/brilliant/hopeless.* And he's good looking. So geeez Huddo he's a perfect target when he's down. fnarr fnarr Robert Walls.

* (And he's way underated for much of his upfield contribution btw.)

Well I would give you a clever reply, but that would just be playing into your hands I suspect. I'll remember to re-insert the crayon up my nose into my brain before writing anything here. You know, only the really dumb people in this world would ever hang **** on smart people for being smart...

the half-dumb people are smart enough to listen to smart people! (revolutionary concept I know, dales.) You know what happens to half-dumb people when they listen to smart people???? They become half-smart people! I recommend it to anydumbarse youngsters out there who are watching today's game. Pay attention to people smarter than you! ug ug Korg 70,000b.c. had this worked out! It's why we're not still living in the f***ing trees. It's like the ABC of "So You No Longer Want To Be A Dumcun' " Right?

Knowing simple grammar is not about being intelligent. Just a couple of points so maybe you can get it right next time;
*First word of a sentence is always capitalised.
*A space is needed after each comma or period (full stop).

Fed from a silver spoon? Private school? I could only wish for such things. I lived with my (single) Mum who brought me up on her own with very little support from my Dad, and a very average wage working as a caterer in the food industry. She did strike it rich not long ago though when she sold her property for 5 times the amount she paid for it 10 years ago and was able to give me her car (a 10 year old Commodore, best car I've owned). Spoon fed? I don't think so!
And private school? Last I heard was Cheltenham S.C. was still a public school.
Closet Dee's supporter? Don't make me sick.
