Speaking of embarrassing names in a foreign language... I had a dutch friend once and his father's name was Cornelius, the diminutive in dutch is ****. (He was fully aware of the s****** value of such a nick name in English but as the family lived in the Netherlands it wasn't a big issue)

Received a couchsurfing request today from Kaysea. Her messaged was pretty self entitled as well, however this may or may not be related to the spelling of her name.

Should her name be Keisha or Acacia or something?

Back in the 90's we knew family with 4 kids named Rimmus, Simmus, Dimmus and Glinnus (girl), the fathers name turned out being Zinnus or Zimmas :drunk:

Not 100% relevant but I don't have a middle name. Parent's reasoning was probably that I don't have a common last name so why need one. My siblings also don't have a middle name and I also know a few people without middle names probably with the same reasoning. I've met people who think it's strange but I don't care, middle names are rarely used and for my case I don't think there's anyone with the same first and last name in Australia (or at most 1 or 2 people).
