TJ needs to add more Penetration on his Medium to Long Kicks are mostly Up and Unders
Yep, this.

He gives his kicks generally a lot of loft, which is going to set it up for defenders if he is kicking to someone on a lead. Something to work on though, quite correctable.

A man of few words, is Tew. Not necessarily a bad thing - he can just focus on going out there and letting his silky skills do the talking for him.

Managing to have 6 debutants in a contending year is extraordinary.

+ half of them have already shown good promise by round 13 (Sullivan, Richards, Dean)

+ there are 4 others who whilst aren’t technically debutants, have barely played before and are now showing some promise (Harrison, Krueger, Macrae, Reef)

How bright does our future look!?!?

I think there was a vid of him working on this.

If you look at all the stills of him at training / in a game, and the photo is of him kicking, the issue seems to be that his ball drop release point is above his waist. This leads to a few of his kicks slewing.
A more guided drop will see him add accuracy to his skill set and become a real weapon.

You can see what he brings and why Fly likes his game. Pace, dash out of defence, a good kick on him, height and marking ability, reads the play well, plenty of intercept marks.

Almost certainly doesn't have the core strength yet, but this outing will serve him very well and he looks an exciting future prospect for next year and beyond. Have a great game Tew.

Loved him in the vfl. And as you say the one knock ( if you could call it that) is he does get caught taking the game on, on occasion, but couple more pre seasons to shrug those tackles and look out.

Thanks hawks for the Pick
