I don't think there's much of a debate with this one

Roo (Brownlow medalist and the most influential captain the club has ever had)
McLeod (dual Norm Smith medalist)
Jarman (Darren Jarman's magic won us 2 premierships off his own boot)
Modra (Coleman medalist and the only Crow to ever kick 100 goals in a season)

Shaun Rehn!

massively underrated..
I think people forget or are too young to remember just how dominant Shaun Rehn was in his prime. Was the best ruckman for awhile there and if it wasn't for the 2 knee recos, I reckon he'd be heralded a lot more. Absolute champion player.

Every game nowadays I lament the fact that our ruckmen don't thump the ball into the forward 50 like ol' Rehny used to do. Too much tap tap sometimes. Need a goal bad? F****** thump the thing!

1 Blight
2 Mcleod
3 Mods
4 Mc Dermott
We would have no premierships without Blighty so has to be no.1

Yeah but we need to think off the field too. My understanding about the OT is who throughout the club has had the biggest influence...biggest impact on the club. Players are easy....but there has been a lot more gone into this club to have made it viable. That is why I think Roo (as a player and now a voice for the club) belongs here. It makes it harder to come up with your top 4 when you think it that way I reckon.

This is pretty easy.

Ricciuto
McLeod
D. Jarman
Rehn

Nobody had a bigger influence on the two cups in the trophy cabinet than those four. Roo and McLeod, both best and fairests in flag years. D. Jarman - no need for an explanation. The team was hopeless without Rehn. There was more than enough anecdotal evidence from 95-99 to prove that.

Hart, Smart and Edwards would be 5, 6 and 7.

And don't come at me with anything other than what contributed to those flags. We're nothing without them. Nothing.

When he took the knee brace off he said '' f*** I'm here to play''

Great days

Chris McDermott contributed to those flags by helping to build a club from 10 seperate SANFL teams.

Obvious ones are obvious.

So I'll go:
  1. Chris Groom: was tempting enough a prospect to attract the attention of the waterpolo stylings of Fremantle coach Gerard Neesham and we ended up with Andrew McLeod.
  2. Peter Caven: absolutely ripped a new one for the best player to ever play the game in the 1998 GF, and guaranteed we wouldn't be remembered as a one-year wonder who got lucky.
  3. Andrew McLeod: for driving an acknowledgement of Aboriginal culture in our club in his typical, understated but powerful way.
  4. Brent Reilly: for staying longer than a Victorian kid should, and showing the younger Vic kids that it's not an automatic two-year stint at the Crows and then a bunji trip home.

1. Roo - (Brownlow Medalist/Premiership Player/Captain/Board/Media/8 x All Australian/312 Games)

2. McLeod - (2 x Premiership Player/2 x Norm Smiths/340 Games/Work with Indigenous Players/5 x All Australian)

3. Nigel Smart (2 x Premiership Player/Board/Deputy Chairman/COO/3 x All Australian/278 Games)

4. Bickley - (2 x Premiership Captain/Head Coach/Assistant Coach/Media/272 Games)

5. Mods - (Nuff Said)

This is for not only being Great Players but for what they have done for the club off field.

You could argue Kurt Tippett depending on where the current administration take our club.

The saga involving him brought an end to Trigg's reign and resulted in a fresh new direction for our club under Fages and Roo.

Exciting times ahead!
