Was anyone else down at the show on Sunday?
Billy was great and it was interesting to see what goes into putting on the telecast.
Kane took his defeat well I thought. He's also 1000 times better than many of his critics in the media.

I don't really care much for the 'edgy' style of journalism i.e. having an opinion literally for the sake of having one and being provocative. However, Kane is clearly has talent in the analytical side and has a great presence on any show. He'll have a pretty good career.

He needs to find the balance between the two, or else the personality will overshadow his body of work. Look at the U.S. where "pundits" like Steven A. Smith, Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd are rarely taken seriously, because majority of their media personality is based around "hot takes". Kane risks becoming one of these.

Different story if it had happened in Melbourne but you don't need to keep going over the same talking points hour after hour.

Yeah I heard that too during the show yesterday and thought it was odd.

Kane makes a living off having the big opinions and the SFS is one of his primary vehicles to do that, and keeps him relevant.

Perhaps he's planning to move to Fox Footy given they'll be expanding their line-up when they broadcast all games next year, or he's thinking about a major career change away from footy.
