Over the last couple of years I have been here there has always been a thread dedicated to those who sit up and wait until lockout ends. Here is this years late night lockout thread. Enjoy.

My memory being a bit dull these days, but didn't they open reasonably early last year? It's after Rd 2 that it took ages.

Top 5000 will consist mostly 2000+ is my guess.

Higgins, Skippy, HMac, Gibbs, ABC(one of them + being your captain) all very very popular choices, plus your Richs and Goddards...means most should have scored over 1850.

I also agree that you would need 2000+ to be in the top 4000 or 5000.

With that being said, i only have Higgins, Jimmy and Goddard out of that lot and i still cracked 2000 so it will be a high scoring round.

If you could let me know that would be great, for what its worth score 1953, a bit behind the pace by the looks of things in here..

I love these threads, you can get some really good discussion going.

So to kick things off...IS 2000 the new starting par? Lots of popular Bigfooty players chopped this week so that could explain the high scores. Or maybe we are all improving! Bigger salary cap, new game styles are other reasons.

So is it a one off? Will we all be crashing back down to earth next week? I know there are some players of mine I am not confident of getting selected next week. Or is this the year when the winner needs to crack the 50000 point mark?

I think its a by-product of these possession style rolling zones that teams are employing. Creates a lot of uncontested marks and kicks.

Well if anyone is interested they are making uo the fixtures now The only thing is there are only 10 teams out of 16 who are in the actual fixtures I'm sure they will fix it up but by the looks of it they are working on the site now. so it could open again soon.
