It's all on Kenny too, lets not pretend it isn't. You can't say anyone didn't do their role out there besides Kuyt but even with him you know he's not the most clinical of players so it still comes back to a disgraceful formation. I mean lets just think about this.... playing Stoke at home and we start 5 defenders and Kuyt by himself up front... really? I mean really? Add to that the fact Stoke didn't even come close to looking like scoring so why even after starting with that tripe did he leave the 5 defenders out there? Why did Downing and Henderson come off instead of a Carra or Coates? **** me.

When Suarez was playing we were creating plenty of chances but not scoring. Without Suarez we're hardly creating a chance at all. Either way we're rooted.

Kuyt should be in the Carragher bracket now. ie. Splinter gatherer.

Carroll's flops in the penalty area were embarrassing. Actually Carroll full stop is emabarrassing.

Downing continues to be spudtastic. Adam has his usual 1 good pass for the game and Henderson shows his purchase was solely based on potential rather than proven quality.

Trying to be positive, Skrtel was easily our best today and is clearly our most improved player this season. Enrique was a bull in posession, never conceded the ball once.

Yeah Kenny definitely didn't have his best day. We were a bit better second half but overall a poor performance despite all the possession.

Love Kuyt for his running and commitment to the cause but the season is past the halfway stage and he is yet to even score...

We played with 5-5-0 for most of the game. Kuyt was playing deeper than the central mids

the subs were rubbish, too

He was the least of our worries. Could of won a penalty most days when the arm was around him, the only other time he went down he ran into the back of someone. The only time we looked dangerous was when he came on.

I find the three bolded points interesting. When we were talking about how good Fowler was a while back (I think it was for an EPL best XI or something), and you said to me I obviously hadn't seen him at his best. Now, based on his stats, his best form at Liverpool had come pre 2000, which leads me to the point that how do you know Fowler was THAT good if you started following football when he had played his best.

Im a mad LFC fan. The internet can bring you anything. Ive watched literally all of Robbie's career. Just didnt see it live. Had to watch it in downloaded matches after he had already moved on. I have a folder on my computer titled LFC with tons of games, season reviews, literally anything downloadable. I download it. I was a huge Robbie Fowler fan when I first got into LFC and when he moved on in the early 2000's to Leeds I was Devo. So went about getting all his previous stuff with the Spice Boys. Amazing talent.

I watched him play a million times. nobody finishes better than God in his prime.

Horrible stuff. Worst we have played all season. No idea what that formation was about but having said that, we had 65% possession and one shot on target. So yeah Kenny makes a shit formation but then the players on the field do absolutely nothing for 90 minutes. Disgraceful from top to bottom.

The only positives I can think of is.... clean sheet. Oh and only 4 games left.

Now you're just being silly. Pitiful performance granted but lets not forget losses at home to Blackpool, Wolves and Northampton under Woy.

Acutally we did at least score in 2 of those... you're probably right.

Stats never tell the whole story. Under Kenny this season we've battered teams and players are shit at putting it in the net.

Yesterday though, Kenny put out a XI looking like he's playing for a draw and he got it. Hodgeson-sque

Blackburn, Everton, Wolves and West Brom. Three of those wins were park the bus 1-0 victories after a set piece goal. Only game they actually played decent at was Blackburn

No one is denying they have a great defense even away from home, but they sure as hell lack alot of creativity. Why you would then go about playing 5 man in defense against what id rate as probably the poorer attacking away teams in the league is beyond me. Dont give them corners or a set piece and they wont score away from home. You only need 4 defenders for that. Could even go with 3 ffs

I just remembered the horrid games they played vs Everton and Wolves and thought id look up the other two wins. Not much to write home about

I thought Stoke were absolutely putrid last night. Couldnt put two passes together. Any team that showed intent to score and in particular ran and carried the ball towards Marc Wilson like Glen Johnson managed to once or twice in the first half they would of smacked them off the park

Has to be Stewart Downing doesnt it , especially when you add in fees/expectations/performances owed to club. I doubt Kuyt signed on to be number 1 striking superstar. Downing signed on to be number 1 LW superstar and to say he is failing at that is the understatement of the century. I actually got lost as to what position he was playing last night. Drifted around aimlessly between left and right doing much of nothing really
