Great game Bellers. Really was fantastic, I wonder if those who didn't want us to sign him have changed their mind yet?

Have to give credit to Hart, the kid is an excellent keeper. They were shite for the most part and he stopped it from being over early. I know a lot of keepers seem to have blinders here but at least Hart backs those up.

Must say that I am enjoying this coverage. Much better than the vanilla EPL coverage we are dished up. Rather hear build-up, analysis and wrap-up/interviews from the Sky Sports UK guys. The whole coverage is better.

I don't care what anyone says, Joe hart is the best goalkeeper in the league. His saves were immense.

Bellas was just crazy good. His pace is just so good, getting to balls I didn't think anyone could get to. People say that none of the top teams care about the Carling Cup but you only have to look at the past winners to realise that's not the case. Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been in a final in the past 5 years.

Bellamy and Kuyt were superb. We completely outplayed them and deserved to go through to the final. Really happy with the response from the players after KK called them out after the result at Bolton.

Just chuffed. Great chance to win some silverware now!

Oh and Hart is immense.
 
Just finished watching the game on IQ. Absolutely dominated Shitty and only Joe Hart kept it from being a walkover. Downing played well for once and showed why he was highly rated by Daglish. Adam had an excellent game. Great effort all round. Couldn't do anything about their first goal, it was a complete fluke by De Jong who wouldn't have scored in a million years unless he slipped over.

Play like that week in week out and a top 4 place is ours.

City paid out his contract so he was a free agent. Great business by Kenny and great business for Bellers who is getting paid twice. Of course, he is on much lower wages with us then the obscene amounts offered by Abu Dhabi FC.

You're right there. We just need to put it together more often. The difference tonight was Downing & Adam actually got stuck in and played excellent games. When they play to their talents they are excellent players but unfortunately this season they have gone missing all too often.

Great performance and result. We do seem to lift for big games. I was really worried about how we'd go here but we battered them and should have won the game comfortably. It felt like it was just going to be one of those nights, with Hart single-handedly thwarting us, De Jong's flukey goal etc., but we hit back quickly each time, which was really impressive. Over the two legs, we were clearly the better team and deserve our place in the final.

Bellamy was immense, probably the difference between the sides, and has proven to be a shrewd signing. I thought he'd be more of an impact sub who could run at tired defences late in games and pop up with a goal here or there but he's been much better than that. He played the full game at Bolton on Saturday and because of his knees, struggles to play twice a week so for him to play basically the full game and at the level he played at is a terrific effort.

Another Cup final to look forward to is fantastic and hopefully we can do the business against Cardiff.

Overall I think Enrique has been our best signing but Bellamy is right behind him. Both cheap too. Our best three players last night though were Bells, Kuyt and Gerrard. Now with it being my national day, imma go out and celebrate our win and sink a few beers on Australia Day.

Apparently Carroll went straight down the tunnel after the game finished last night. Shows where his heads at. Bit like Torres being the only one not to celebrate Lampard's winner a few weeks ago.
 
Would people be interested in a BigFooty get-together for the final?

I know that the game is at the ungodly time of 2am on a Monday morning (27 February) but I presume that we'll all be watching it...
