Meireles seems to be out of favour that's why I didn't put him in.

Meireles and Aquilani is going to be overkill need to sell one now that we've brought in Adam and Henderson.

Expecting Poosen, Aquilani to be sold, possibly Spearing if we get a good price and Shelvey loaned out.

Enrique & Gary Cahill would round off our squad nicely, make it happen FSG.

Time to blood Sterling in the first team, sell Ngog for the 6 million or so that's been quoted for him.

Don't want to see Degen, El Zhar, Kyriagkos & Insua on our roster anymore come the start of the season.

Although it's hard to see how he'll get too many games, Spearing re-signed in May, which would make a sale unlikely at this time...so as things stand, we certainly are not lacking in central midfielders. I like both Aquilani and Meireles but again, we can't fit everyone into the one team and with both Adam and Henderson coming in you'd think one of Aquilani or Meireles (probably Aquilani) as well as Poulsen will be off.

Agree that we still need a left-back and a centre-back - Cahill in particular would seem to fit in nicely with our recent transfer policy.

Do we really have enough depth at CB to sell the greek?

Unless we sign another CB I think we should keep him.

I hope Stirling and Suso can break through next season. Coady is looking a terrific young player too. Not really sure on any of our signings just yet. We need a really big signing, Mata anyone? Not sure how many more players we will bring in though, obviously a LB. Insua is apparently leaving also.

Lol, cut it out mate.

It was never a chance, and now that you've signed Downing, that's just about confirmed you won't get him. Even we have a higher chance.

LOL @ the local ****... like Arry is going to sign anyone of note, won't even let go a guy who would prefer Aids over playing for Tottenham.

Although to be fair we won't sign Mata.

Cadel FTW bitches!

As usual, Liverpool supporter pulling out the insults.

and as usual, extremely ironic.

Heard some bad news, apparently Gerrard to miss the first two months.

http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/102493.html?CMP=OTC-RSS

Liverpool have moved to quell reports that Steven Gerrard could be set to miss up to the first two months of the season, after claims that his groin injury is worse than first thought.

A Sunday newspaper had written that the club were braced for the fact they will have to start the new Premier League campaign without their skipper after complications arose in the recovery from his current injury.

Such a layoff would also force him to miss England's international friendly with Netherlands on August 10 and struggle to be fit for the Euro 2012 qualifier with Wales on September 6, but the Reds are adamant the midfielder has not suffered any sort of setback.

"Steven Gerrard's rehabilitation is progressing as planned," the club told ESPNsoccernet.

Gerrard, 31, was not with the club on their recent tour of Asia as he continued his recovery on Merseyside.

Anyone else think we should sign Forlan as a squad player? Definitely worth picking up on the cheap, his experience could prove invaluable and he has a good understanding with Suarez. Wouldn't pay any more then 3 to 4 million at his age though.

Must be talking about another Forlan I have not heard of? Otherwise WTF?

Read an article in which it said that Gerrard hopes to make his return in our final pre-season friendly, against Valencia, on 6 August. He'll obviously need a few games to get into the swing of things, so we can probably rule him out from playing any major part in the first month or so of the season.

LOL. Forlan would be cheap and available but there is no chance in living hell he would agree to a move without being guaranteed a position in the 11. Forlan would play for Wycombe Wanderers over Barcelona if it meant a starting spot and I doubt the same rule doesnt apply for Liverpool
