I think Trent can be slack sometimes and is not a great defender but I think he cops waaaaay more flak than he should. He is instructed to be high, to drop into midfield because he gets us going and is such a good passer and can create goals.

So of course sometimes he isnt in position but that's by design. Oppo teams know this so attack down the right knowing TAA will be up field. That's why mids and Konate is important for spacing and positioning.

Used to work better under Klopp because Henderson was really good at his positioning and covering Trent really well. We dont super get that from Grav/Mac and Konate has been out injured.

Haivng said all that, Trent really didnt play well against United.
He was so so so bad for their first goal like. Not even a jog level of effort

I don't think he is instructed to be high per se. The only thing we know for certain about the instructions given to the full backs is that Slot likes them to be tucked inside more than Jurgen did which is why at times Trent floats into midfield rather than hugging the sideline.

And the second. I just don't trust him anymore. To put in that turgent display against United of all teams in a game where all 3 points would have knocked the wind out of Arsenal is unforgivable. I can accept him having a bad gane but to not even chase is unforgivable.

I was wondering which club he was interested in. Couldn’t be arsed clicking on the Optus notification I received earlier.
Like I said, it was a throw away line spun into clickbait
When asked on Times Radio if his son wanted to buy Liverpool, he replied: "I can’t comment on that, they’ll raise the price! Oh yes, [he has expressed a desire], but that doesn’t mean he’s buying it. He would like to yes, obviously. Anybody would want to - so would I."
