Just pathetic. They need to spend more time on mental focus and toughness, rather than Facebook happy clappy reels about bulls.t like who's going to have a great second half of the season. Absolute waste of 3 hrs watching this weak team. What's wrong with me?

I was listening to Brenton Sanderson do opposition analysis on Whatley this week.

He said the magic number to beat Freo was keeping uncontested marks to less than 80. Our total marks today was 69.

Dogs had a game plan to takeaway our strength and Freo had no plan B.

Yeah, it's those questions asked at the end of a training session that take about 10 seconds total of the players time that are why they lost this.

What's up with Brayshaw?

2022 he was the AFLPA MVP.
2023 he was supposedly carrying a knee niggle.

He hasn't gotten back to that level consistently since.
He has, he’s playing a different role to allow Young and Fyfe with JOM inside.

Would love to get Brodie and Brayshaw back in there like 2022.

Kicking 22 goals out of nowhere and then conceding 23 goals in the very next game is peak Dockery.

Bunch of bathwater drinkers these guys
People need to go and re-watch that Melbourne game. You will rarely see such a lack of pressure on the ball carrier, we essentially came into today off two byes.

That’s right, but we also played well.

But I wouldn’t be the first one to point out that our high handball gamestyle looks outstanding against a lack of pressure, but once the heat is on we chronically overuse it and go nowhere.

Although that wasn’t the biggest problem today, it was mostly a work ethic thing - except to say when we were put under fierce pressure with the ball in the second quarter, those problems popped up again.

Exactly. Why is this?
I would love to have someone like Crisp. Ball Hunter but also rallies for his teammates and brutal at the contest.
Can’t see that about any of the mids- Brayshaw especially
Remnants of the Steves and the gentrification of the club.

Brayshaw has become incredibly average, needs to be highlighted but he's the good boy child so never will.

Wild to think how we used to have guys like the Carrs, Cook, Kickett in the jumper.

Careful, you'll validate David King writing like that.

There needs to be an internal inquiry into the psychology of our players when it comes to external expectations. Seems like everytime we get on a bit of a run and the media starts talking us up we fail, and when there's no expectations around us then we play well.

Going back to the start.

The midfield was atrocious. Absolutely no pressure on the ball carrier when the lost the clearance, allowed too many free dogs players off the back.

The defence never stood a chance with how easy the ball was being sent in.

When they actually won the ball, the forwards looked dangerous.

Chappy a massive late out. Our midfield is missing a big body aside from Fyfe. Whatever happened to that Brody bloke.
Playing brilliantly for Peel ... Again!

Another brilliant performance from Will Brodie has helped Peel Thunder overcome a slow start to take down Perth by 44 points at Lane Group Stadium.

More than a year since his last appearance in the senior side, the big-bodied midfielder was comfortably the best player afield, continuing a standout State league season by winning 32 disposals, laying four tackles and kicking a goal as the Thunder moved back to the top of the ladder with a 12.12 (84) to 5.10 (40) victory over the last-placed Demons.

Picking the wrong players, not able to react in game day coaching and still need to work on training drills that combine goal kicking pressure and reward quick decision making.

Yet we ll keep JOM in, because well structure.

From the first centre clearance to
Weightman goal.
Need more leadership, accountability within the group.

He's quite quickly becoming, quite frankly, shit.
Who? Emmett? Yeah he has struggled.
Sturt? What else can he do? 10 tackles with his 3 goals?
Frisch has 24 goals for Melbourne, but you wouldn’t drop him right? 19 tackles for the year.
