I thought it was an ok first episode.

It wasn't great, had a few sloppy scenes/moments, but the promise is definitely there. As the series goes on I think it'll get even better, there's definitely room for it to grow.

It's reminiscent of Rogue One....the tone, grittiness, the humor, etc.

It's infinitely better than anything JJ and RJ have done to date with the ST.
But you said this was going to be the best thing since the OT and you're never wrong?

Thought the humour was good as well. Not slapstick Marvel crap like TFA and TLJ.

Surely IG-11 isn't dead now? Can the Mando reprogram him into something that isn't a ruthless killing machine? Would be a waste of Taika

theres more than 1 IG unit Im sure.

We already know that with IG-88 being in ESB, I was referring to what happens with the existing IG unit that he shot in the head
Understand what you meant but the other IG's would/could be voiced by the same actor as well so as not to waste him.
Bloody big hole in 11's head tells me he is gonski.

They should have a running gag of him just coming back and getting killed constantly. Jawas can find him, repair him, and off he goes again.

I found the episode to be very ANH in terms of visuals. A lot of setting up the camera to be spying on the Mando from a distance. It was very slow paced and I was very tired so probably didn't fully absorb it all. Will need a rewatch. A lot of tributes to the OT. Loved the Salacious Crumb species being spitroasted. :p
