Like my previous thread about our son, I posted this 4 years ago, but I thought I'd share it again for the benefit of those who weren't here back then. When our boy was 11 years old in 2011, he developed severe scoliosis of the spine. Such was the impact of it, that the curvature of his spine increased from 51% to 66% in the space of 12 months, and with such rapid deterioration, his quality of life would have been pretty ordinary by now, due to the adverse impact on his vital organs. So in August 2012, he was booked in for surgery, and as a result, the change was extraordinary (see attached x-ray photos).
As a result, nobody would know there had ever been a problem, unless he takes his shirt off.
I know everyone is feeling the effects of cost of living pressure these days, but if you do happen to have a few spare dollars, you could do a lot worse than give to the Women's and Children's Hospital. These people are miracle workers - we often laud our sporting heroes, but I reckon that those who devote their lives to saving others are the true champions of our modern society.
