We took a team full of shitmen (TM The acurate one ) from almost not qualifying to pushing 3rd ranked team in round of 16.

But yeah, that sequence of play was pretty rank.

Still proud though. Huge effort from the players and coaching staff.

Oh well.

We are punching above our weight with the players we have and we have done very well to get as far as we have.
We just need players to develop and play in the best leagues, PL etc to get better.

Here’s the thing, the FFA should be milking the proverbial on this, I honestly thought (and definitely wasn’t alone) that we would struggle to score a goal let alone win a game or make the last 16
This team has played some cracking football in the quals and also some absolute shockers
We over performed so credit to all the players and coaches
Now, with a few casuals interested, have some good PR up and running for the A-League, selling the message that you can see Leckie and Goodwin playing most weeks
They have to a point now but watch it (again) as FFA don’t capitalize and instead bicker and shoot themselves and let the opportunity slip

It was an incredible night. The atmosphere the Argies created was phenomenal. Felt like you were in Buenos Aires. So many came up to us afterwards to congratulate us and to take photos. You could see the genuine relief on their faces after the game. We definitely felt like equals out there.
