He’s been great over a long period of time… the less said about him in a Man Utd shirt the better
Ángel Fabián Di María is an Argentine professional footballer who plays for Serie A club Juventus and the Argentina national team. He can play as either a winger or attacking midfielder. He is widely considered as one of the greatest players of his generation

Hes played at a lot of top clubs so others rate him. Just something about him seems off to me.

Played well at Real Madrid, then went to the retirement tour of Man Utd, PSG & Juventus… he’s also a Rosario guy?
He’s always been a top player

Better team won - France's first half was underwhelming.

Don't really understand why I'm meant to feel happy for Messi.
Ok this I totally get…
The main thing is, he was just almost unplayable at Barca… but he would go home and play in the blue and white stripes… in some average teams and struggle to perform…
He was loved by Argentina… but never worshipped like Maradona… the Copa eased some of those demons but this morning has him on that pedestal
TBF though… we are lucky to have had two absolute legends (who we will tell our grandkids about) playing
I don’t think there has been two players playing at the same time who have been that far ahead of the others

Fair enough - for my post about the basketball it should have read "Dickheads in Victory Gear", not Victory supporters. It's a shame these morons ruin it for the families like yours that just want to watch the match.

That said I haven't been to an A League game in probably 10 years due to their s**t. Last straw for me was a game at AAMI where post game security formed a wall blocking the nearest exit and wanted everyone in our section to leave the stadium and walk a massive loop behind Goshes paddock towards Punt Road in order to avoid walking past the Dickheads in Victory Gear singing out the front, which was the complete opposite direction of where we had the car. I pointed to the footbridge next to Rod Laver Arena where we parked and asked if I could exit that way and had a security guy bark repeatedly an centimetre from my face "YOU WILL FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS" like I was a convict in a chow line. Tremendous experience for the casual fan!

Yeah, that’s where a lot of the trouble began. There were a few years where all supporters would be greeted by a virtual SWAT team in full riot gear barking at everyone like we were prisoners of war. It fuelled this anger and tension between authorities and the active support. The rest of us would just play along while thinking it was way over the top.

There was a major cultural misunderstanding where the cops treated the whole active chanting etc as a riot. It’s back then where they booted a number of supporters who were subsequently banned. Said banned supporters felt unsupported by the club and league too as their images would feature prominently in A-League advertising.

Like any mob there will always be the mentally challenged who take things too far and who use it for their “hidden genders” TM Zondor

The club is already saying some of the offenders were previously banned. I suspect its not difficult to get into the game by changing your appearance a little. Seems the group of ferals spoil it for everyone. At least they have good video of most of the dickheads so they won’t be hard to find. What do ou think the real motivation is Twinkletoes for these cretins? Clearly its not about supporting the club? Seems this same reckless group are regular troublemakers inside and outside the ground. Maybe the club just isn’t doing enough to get rid of them.

See above gk. They, the previously banned, have had an ongoing beef with authorities. They’ve mostly stayed away prior to the weekend but the anger fuelled by the APL decision was the catalyst for their return, and they weren’t coming along to chant Kumbaya for an hour. Most were walking out and leaving the message they’re unhappy with those running the game but for those few it was war. They’ve always had a “look at me” attitude so to see them acting so selfishly without the slightest regard for any ramifications the club and other members would face shouldn’t surprise. Flogs!

A 23-year-old Craigieburn man accused of throwing a bucket full of sand at Glover was hit with a string of charges including, violent disorder, discharging a missile, intent to cause injury, recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault, entry to sporting competition space, disrupting a match, public nuisance and riotous behaviour.

Police have a charged the man who carried a metal bucket onto the field during the A-League pitch invasion in Melbourne.

Another two men - a 19-year-old from Meadow Heights and an 18-year-old from Alphington - were also charged with allegedly assaulting the goalkeeper in separate incidents.

Finally got home last night after 23 days in Doha. The WC final that me and my son were fortunate enough to attend will never be topped. It just can't be. It was an unbelievable game, atmosphere and celebration. A perfect way to end an incredible WC trip. Was a little bit apprehensive going over but there was absolutely nothing to worry about. It was smooth sailing all the way. Great fun, people, organisation and memories to last a lifetime. Even managed a hangover after the Denmark win. The thing however I will remember most of all is the random conversations you'd get into at bus stops, metro's, cafes, stadium queues, traffic stops etc with people from all over the world. Saudis, Cubans, Polish, Argies, Mexicans, Omanis, Indians, Sth Africans, Tunisians, Brazillians, Moroccans, Scots, English, Tanzanians, Panamanians were some of the people I met along the way.

Loved your posts over the last few weeks. Extremely jealous but very happy for you, it sounded absolutely amazing.

Great stuff, sorry you had to run into the English though.

Hows West Brom Albians change of fortunes after sacking coach, were sitting in the relegation zone and since then 8 wins 1 loss ( Pen in injury time against coventry) to be 8th on the table 2 points off a promotion qualifying spot!

here hoping Clarko can architect as good a turn around for us :)

We will also need to pick up someone named Tomislav in the SSP!

Rogic scored the other day for the Baggies, was a nice bit of play

This is a great vid.

Nice vid, only a couple of seconds of our own PFP no. 1 Volky, and a little UK bias (fair enough, it is BT Sports), some good reminders in there of what a cracking year it’s been. Leon Edwards head kick the stand out shock moment from 2022 for me.
