Lavine is surprisingly low. Probably already been said but really shit draft

So far, Lavine has really provided little other than scoring, and doesn't do that at a particularly efficient rate, either. He's been a little bit turnover-prone at times, too (5th in that group for turnover rate), perhaps trying to do to much with the ball. I would expect his numbers across all areas to improve as time goes on, though.

His playmaking has improved a lot and his efficiency would as well once we get Portis, Markkanen and Dunn back rather than him playing with G League players.

Shaq is the greatest.

Shaq: Kawhi Leonard is back to being the second best player in league.

Chuck: who is the best player in the league?

Shaq: I don't know. It's either between LeBron and Giannis.
Shaq forget about A.D?

Absolute robbery by Philly getting him at 3 in hindsight.
For all the shit their S&C and medical staff have copped over the years, they have done amazingly well to keep him healthy after the early injury problems.

I don't think there was ever a doubt he had a super high ceiling. The red flags were pretty legitimate at the time of the draft though.

Such a good move by the Raps to have the balls to trade out an all star guard for Kawhi, even if it's a risk of being a rental its worth it, Leonard is a game changer.

No, had no idea.

The idea of a guy who has taken the most shots of his team, plays shit defense, only has 3 rebounds, 1 assist with 2 TOs has been a positive for his team just because his teammates are covering for his absolute shitness is just stupid.

I'd say +/- is only really relevant to basketball when speaking about 4- and 5-man lineups. On an individual level, it can just be a guy (like the instance you mentioned) that isn't even playing that well, but happens to be on the court when his teammates are doing well and beating the opposition. I'd say Win Shares are more relevant in terms of who is creating the margins and helping the team individually, but there's no in-game way that can be calculated.

+/- has more relevance for individuals in ice hockey (where it originated), given that there's less scoring, and the value of a score is higher, and there's a greater amount of substitutions and set line-ups/combinations too.
